I have been wanting to post these since Thanksgiving! How time files. These are some images from out tasting, which was so much fun and really educational for me and my folks. The turkey was even more delicious than I could have imagined and I was completely thankful and so happy to celebrate. Thank you to all our customers who supported us this year. I hope your bird turned out as amazing as our did. We will have some cooking tips from the amazing chefs soon. Special thanks to Shawn and Harold. I couldn’t have asked for a better situation. Go eat at the Salty Sow in Austin, these guys can really cook.

Also shout out to Parker, who wrote me a card even after we were super late delivering birds on Sunday! It seriously meant the world to me, and I almost cried when your wife handed it to me, and again when I read it! Thank you, thank you thank you!

Feeling Thanks.

Feeling so grateful for the wonderful experience we had with our Heritage Turkey crop this year. Can't wait to hear back from customers, and hope to see pictures, etc. We had a tasting that I will write about as soon as I have had a bit more rest. Century-old chalkboard drawings were revealed during renovations at Emerson High School in Oklahoma City. Forgotten since 1917, lost beneath the accumulated layers of modern smart boards and wall-covering blackboards were drawings of Thanksgiving turkeys!

Updates! Hot Summer Days...

Mom sends the following report: Birds were so ready for the yard by 7 am. By 8:15 all were back for a quick snack and a drink and then off to explore. Spent most of the day - birds- huddled in the shady sand. Lots of sand bathing. It was over 100 by noon. Filled the water twice today!
