the modern feminist movement is a failure because instead of saying “the work that women are already doing is valuable and should been appreciated by society” they said “society already values the work done by men therefore to be valuable women need to do the same kind of work”

since this is gaining a small bit of traction i just want to clarify: i have nothing against women in traditionally male careers. in fact, i myself am in a traditionally male field (architecture)! and i’m glad that those doors have been opened because that was an area women were shut out of for so long. but women shouldn’t have to be in these fields to be considered valuable by society. we’re valuable by default.
