Casual connections can be meaningful. Short-term connections can be meaningful.
Do not buy into the narrative that something is only meaningful if it is intense enough, or if it lasts forever. Sometimes, meaning is nuance. Oftentimes our lives are changed in subtle ways. And the time you spent with someone will always matter even if it has passed.
A coworker tried to highlight the potential of 'AI' by saying that it would clear up the time for "true, meaningful human connection". And I was like, what does that even mean? Is it not a "true, meaningful connection" to say hi to the person behind a counter and thank them for their service? Is it not "true, meaningful connection" if I see the same person everyday at the supermarket and we smile at each other??
I had an appointment at my bank a while ago because we moved. I got an email confirming the appointment. It was very clearly not an automated message, it had some mistakes and wasn't your typical standardized message. I thought it was really nice.
At the end of that appointment, we needed to make another, and the young woman said: "And this time, I am sure the automated mailing system will work again."
And I was like: "Oh! I was wondering. Actually I thought it was really nice to receive a non automated message!"
And she got really giddy and said if that was the case, she would send me the message herself again.
So yeah, don't let others decide what "true, meaningful connection" means.

What if I fix it fic'd King's Quest 7 to fix my issues with it? (Which were mostly Edgar related)

I replayed King's Quest 7 the other day, a game my sister and I played all the time between ages 7–13 and I literally know by heart. but today as back then we were always like: Where even is the romance with edgar coming from how does she even know him? which now led us to play King's Quest 4 which explains Edgar's crush on her and OMG did I not have actually shipping the two on my 2025 bingo card
but
pixel blush edgard immediately took over our hearts. what a cutie.
also i had to restart three times because of game breaking mechanics and how often do you think i died navigating stairs? the answer is YES
