Klippdassen from mumin :)
Just got tickets for thr Stay concert movie. Got a ticket for my nephew since he didnt get to go to the concert this summer and I think he'll enjoy this. The question is will he be able to sit in one place for 2 hours since he usually never does (hes 9 so..)
Maybe for Felix he will . (He adores Felix).
How is my little niece five years old already???? God time flies
So I'm nonbinary, which isn't surprising, I use tumblr. But I had a sleepover with my aunt and uncle a few years ago, watching movies, screwing up mashed potatoes real bad, and floatin down the river with snacks and laughs. You know how it is. Later in the year at different times both of them expressed very gender queer sentiments about themselves then respectively started feeling out she/they and he/they pronouns. (I think I shed on them by accident, or like, bit them in my sleep. I don't know how it transfers but it does and it did.) Not many people in the family refer to either of them using different pronouns but I will occasionally, just for fun. My piblings are very important to me. Just remember to be there for your older relatives. They're figuring things out too no matter how far in life they are.
Anyways I've been trying to figure out how to make a "God gives his gayest nieflings to his most gender queer questioning aunts and uncles" joke and this is the best way I could do it in a way that vaguely made sense.

the niblings, for some reason, are obsessed with discussing death in some way when they talk with me.
my niece randomly brought up that she saw a dead seal on the beach, which, of course, leads her to ask me if i knew why it died (she saw it several months ago & i absolutely was not there, seeing as i live in another country). so instead, i explain how dealing with that kind of thing has been a big part of my work/jobs, & the various reasons i have seen seals die...
which then leads to my nephew's question: "if a pig swam out to sea, would it get eaten by a shark? what if it was on a floatie?" (assuming the pig references telling them about the recent bushpig adventures.)
other recent memorable mortality-related discussions include:
that my dog is older than their puppy, so she is going to die first (leading to an explanation that accidents/anything can happen at any time, & we never know, really).
when my parents/their grandparents are going to die (slightly distressing to them).
that one day, their parents are also going to die. and so will i. and so will they (not distressing to them).
that i can't show them my pet chicken, because she passed away (this one like...5+ times over the last year).
asking what cremation is, & to see my chicken's ashes (despite having an urn box for their family dog & having seen urn boxes of family pets at my parents' house...they also didn't want to just see my chicken's urn box, but the ACTUAL ASHES inside).
asking to see the skulls & bones i have collected (a friend's young child also always asks this when they visit, too...he thinks they are from dragons).
kids, y'all.
