Ngl it's super annoying to me how ppl use Clawdeen's g1 doll (which does in fact have more black features than g3 btw) to justify her g3 doll being more eurocentric bc that just feels like a really weak excuse to cope. Literally erasing erasure atp. If we're being serious, the g1 dolls for Wolf siblings and the de Nile sisters were whitewashed too. It's not okay to whitewash characters of color just bc it's been done before erm what the helly lol?! I don't even get how some of y'all complain abt g1 purists and then turn around and use g1 problematic shit to justify g3 problematic shit. Looking back, Mattel was pretty misleading to market the dolls with darker skin in all those boovies just to put out lighter dolls. It's not okay even if the dolls were designed to look more like the webisodes bc the movies had way more reach and likely more budget. Back when g3 started, it had been so long since I'd looked at g1 mh dolls, I forgot how light they are. It's not such a big deal with the characters that are pink, orange, green, blue, etc., but it gets particularly questionable with regards to the characters with brown skin. Even just in a shallower sense, I think all the Monster High characters just looked better with the skin tones in the cgi boovies than the g1 dolls.

"we're all faggots in the eyes of the state" okay but the state recognises different category of "faggot" where one is "idiot womanchildren with delusions of grandeur" and another is "subhuman predators that must be excised from society posthaste" like neither are a great way to treat another human being but can we pleeeeeeease acknowledge the difference here
