Hey kids, I know times are scary but remember, there is nothing more radical than self care. The world wants to overwork you so you’ll break and comply. Take the nap, eat the chocolate, see the friend, go on the trip, buy the frivolous thing. But also, wash your ass, eat a vegetable, drink some water and move your body if you’re able. Taking care of yourself is multifaceted and you’re doing a great job. This stranger loves you, and you’re gonna be okay.

Today, Nico is finally back from the underworld. He spent the Samhain catching up with Jason in Elysium, watching over their respective friends as they took the littles campers trick-or-treating.

Today, both Percy and Annabeth act as models for a middle school aged Estelle trying to learn how to do makeup. His eyelids are cerulean and his lips are magenta, he looks at Annabeth and smiles, maybe one wouldn’t actually be so bad.

Today, Will and Nico cozy up on the couch. The changing of the seasons is always hard on Will, yet Nico thrives. Though the sky is dark, their apartment is lit up with a sun lamp, Will’s eyes shut while Nico guides him through a mediation, placing him somewhere safe and warm. Leftover bowls of stew are laid haphazardly on the coffee table in front of them. It’s bright, even in the dark months.

It’s a cozy day in New Rome. Will is in his organic chemistry class, Nico is typing up a lesson plan for his first necromancy lecture. He plans on cooking, but they’re probably going to have takeout for dinner. Everything is good.
