i feel like glimmer and adora are that couple that use touch as a form of anchor. like, adora waking up in the middle of the night after a nightmare and feeling better after just grabbing glimmer’s hand, glimmer bumping knees with adora under the table during a meeting and feeling her anxiety ease, just a touch on their shoulder whenever one of them is stuck in their head about something. we see this in the show, too; adora often grabs glimmer’s shoulders almost as a form of emphasis, and i think glimmer view’s adora’s touch as a form of protection. we see this especially in the episode with the “ghosts” - glimmer’s first instinct when faced with potential harm is to grab adora. adora, not she-ra. hugging, holding hands, any kind of casual touch brings them back down to earth and brings them closer together, both physically and emotionally.
