navigating the world without pretty privilege vs with is so different. even something as simple as posting a selfie is scrutinized, criticized and questioned when you don’t have pretty privilege. people questioning why you would dare love yourself or how dare you would think that others would want to see this. when you don’t have pretty privilege, you have to be something. whether smart, funny, talented or anything to even get noticed. to be valued or even decently respected. you can’t just be. you can’t just be cute and sit there, you have to be something.
