SPEED: I am a rper with zero self control and so have about a million muses that I go between. While I tend to pop on each blog at least once a day, it can sometimes be two or three days in between actual postings. All I ask is that you all be patient. <3

REPLIES: Will vary in length. Sometimes they’ll equal a page or so, sometimes they’ll be just a few lines. However, no matter the length, I promise I will always give my partner something to work with. I am all about promoting a true collaborative experience.

HONEST NOTE: I’ve stated this in my rules, but I’m going to state it again. Sidney and Billy’s relationship was toxic and I have no intentions of shying away from that fact. Distressing content will appear here. I also get that “children of” OCs are not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m fine with that and for that reason probably will not be the first to follow people. Instead, I will most likely wait for people to come to me. Because I am, at my core, a smol bean who is afraid of everyone.

“you don’t have to tell me twice.”  sam’s mind floats to the ugly scar marking her side, and her expression noticeably drops.  she leans in  —  though they are in relative privacy, sam knows that can change at the drop of a hat. two daughters of billy loomis, out in public? oh, the bottom feeder tabloid writers would eat that shit up.  “guess it’s fitting,”  sam snarks as she places her crossed arms on the table.  

“i mean, billy was a pretty shit boyfriend.”  she doesn’t know what maureen calls the man that aided in their birth. in eleven years, sam has never referred to him as “dad”; billy is her biological father, but he’s never done anything for her. fuck, saying that he’s hindered her life is being too generous. he’s caused sam life lasting trauma, all without father and daughter ever meeting.

“when uh … when did your mother tell you about him?”

The girls’ stories are both remarkably similar and vastly different. Both Christine and Sidney slept with Billy during the time of the Woodsboro Murders. Both produced a baby girl. Both went on to marry other men. Only while Sid was still happily married, Christine’s marriage had fallen apart when it was revealed she had hid the fact that Sam did not belong to her husband. 

Maybe that was the difference. The fact that Sidney had never hidden anything from Mark. From her daughter, yes. But not from Mark.

“Last year. And it wasn’t so much her telling me as doing damage control after I overheard her and Aunt Gale talking one night...” If she sounded a tiny bit bitter, it was because she was.

It wasn’t that he hated her. If anything, he didn’t know enough about her in order to cause such emotions. It was the idea of her. Billy and Sidney….a kid….after everything?! The concept of her had been wrapped around his brain and tormented him for years - even after he’d disappeared from the family for a while. Still, he shouldn’t blame her for her unfortunate birth parents. “Absolutely not,” Jackson corrects, a roll of his eyes occurring before he plucked a grape from the laid out tray of snacks. 

Family get togethers were the worst. 

“ I think, technically, i’m your uncle or something.” A pause in his speech, side eyeing the girl before plopping another grape carelessly into his mouth. “ Billy – Your Father is..was, my cousin.” Jackson corrects himself with every mistaken word said in regards to the deceased. “I don’t know the logistics of it all.”

He pauses, a hum leaving his lips. “Next time, speak. Don’t stare.”

Hey. All it takes is one time. So when Sid finally took the plunge and gave herself to Billy the night everything went down, well...she got a little souvenir. As if she needed anything to help her remember that night. 

Maureen’s life, her legacy was forever to be wrapped up in death and murder. Conceived the final night of Billy and Stu’s killing spree. Taken by her grandmother due to the murder of her mother. Talk about being baptized in blood.

“ BECAUSE , “ billy grumbled. fingers scratching through his beard. usually he would finish there, offer no kind of explanation. BUT HE DIDN’T. — for some reason, he kept talking.

In truth, he found it weird that the family accepted this child in with open arms. All things considered, of course. Still, he couldn’t outright show his frustration in front of the others. So, when the two of them had been alone in the kitchen - Jackson is quick to display annoyance. “Is there a reason you’re staring at me?” Not much of a first impression - having kept his distance from these gatherings for this very reason. He was, after all, the only one in the family who stood by Billy through his destruction. 

He had his aunt to thank for that, Debbie having decided that Sid raising her precious son’s baby girl was an affront to everything Billy had worked for. And so, during the murders at Windsor College, Debbie made sure to take out Sidney. Kill the girl, frame Mickey for everything, and take custody of her granddaughter. 

So really...Maureen couldn’t remember life before this part of her family. She had been so young, after all...

“Might be because my brother and your dad had something going on together. At least that’s what it seems to be to me. I mean, why else would he kill someone who didn’t deserve it, other than maybe being a nutcase. No offense.” Lacie sighs, scratching down notes. “So, if we get rid of Gale, are we going for a full copy. Like, Ghostface 2.0?” She asks, tilting her head. “Because if so, I got us covered. 

“It does make sense when you think about it that way...he killed Tatum because he didn’t want the competition. Didn’t want anyone else influencing your brother. It’s kind of a genius move. Fucked up, but genius. Should have made it look like an accident, though. Or set her up to be in the way so that it looked like a survival move. Taking her out the way he did...sloppy.” Was this a healthy outlook to have? Probably not. But then nothing about their life really screamed well-adjusted.

“have him drive you to a guy with a better sense of humor.”  a beat  —  sam’s surprised by how effortless her own quip is. this is a conversation out of place for the world she now finds herself living in; a moment with the sun shining on her shoulders, a greasy fast food bag in front of her, sam can recall a dozen moments shared like this with richie … modesto is no longer the haven she could pretend it was. 

nothing is in fact: the illusion sam haphazardly cobbled together for years is shattered. she has another sister … there is another link between herself and s.idney p.rescott, and again, it all ties back to b.illy l.oomis. sam doesn’t even know how to fucking unpack all that, but she’s enjoying maureen’s company  —  whatever their future relationship will be. 

sam forces herself to bare the same little smirk, and pretend that she’s occupied by dipping her fries in her milkshake.  

“you got a guy in your life?”  … obviously, there will be no point returning the question.

The snort that escapes Maureen at Sam’s comeback is, in no way, dignified. It is, however, a sign of how much she appreciates her sister’s humour (and outlook on the situation). Sister. It’s still a little weird to Maureen. Not as a concept...she does have two younger half-sister’s via her mother’s marriage to Mark Kincaid. But to know that her father had another child. That someone else shares that side of her genetics. (And all the problems that come with it).

Not that she’s entirely sure yet that she wants to let Sam live. That war is still raging in her brain... After all, wasn’t this what made their dad snap all those years ago? The fact that his own father had cheated on his mother?

“Yeah I also snuck into my brother’s room. The cops missed a piece of evidence, a pretty big one.” Lacie slides a handwritten piece of paper over the table to her friend to read. “Apparently there was some tension between him and your dad, ‘cause your dad killed his girlfriend. Tatum, may her soul rest, wasn’t even part of the plan they had. In fact it looks like they’d explicitly stated to leave her out of it.”

She sips her drink. “And your mom? She was the only one they were really after. The night of the incident was like nine-ish months before you were born, one before I was.” Lacie reaches over the table and grabs a hard peppermint and pops it in her mouth.

“They fucked up their plan. It wasn’t s'posed to go the way it did. So, I’m thinking… we try to make up for their mistakes. But, not your mom. Sid’s pretty cool. Now Gale Weathers though… she can’t report on another incident if she’s dead, right? She doesn’t deserve to profit off fake facts and a trauma that isn’t hers.”

“Wait. What?” Reaching forward, Maureen took the note. “The fuck...” Tatum was...the way she was killed. Alone. In the garage. She wasn’t in the way of anything. That had been a straight up vindictive move by her dad. But why? “Why did he...killing her makes no sense...” Not if the plan had been her mom. Kill her mom, frame her granddad. 

“Can’t say I’m sad they fucked up the part with my mom. I mean...think of how much sadder your life would be without me. Agreed, though. We need to fix their mistakes. Take out Gale.” And possibly a few others. Others who should have died that night. Like Deputy Dewey, maybe?

Stu sighs. “Yeah. I… I loved him. I still do. We were… involved. I… I hope he loved me. I don’t know if he did. But, I’d do anything for him. And I did. Anything he asked me to do, I did it because he was my best friend and kinda my boyfriend. ” Stu exhales sharply at Maureen’s other question.

“I know for a fact he didn’t love your mom. He was great at acting though. She’s sort of the catalyst, or was. So was your other grandma. Though, the other Maureen Prescott just caused a rift in Debbie and Hank’s marriage. It happens, affairs happen, and I get it. I don’t like how Billy decided to handle it, I really don’t, but I wasn’t going to ask him ‘do you really think this will bring your mom back to you?’. I couldn’t. There was already blood on my hands.”

“Your mother, though, Riri, she was… brave. She was a fighter. She was sweet too. I won’t lie. I miss her almost as much as I miss Tatum.”

“Really?” She had never heard her mother spoken about in such a manner. Her grandmother clearly had nothing nice to say about Sidney. “Grandma always says she was weak. Stupid. Like her mother. Which is why she got taken out by that pathetic copy cat killer when I was a baby...” Because of course Debbie wasn’t going to admit to killing Sidney. That would just be stupid. 

a light knock caused stephanie to look up from the pile of papers in front of her. a frown creased her features as she studied her visitor, curiosity and caution warring for dominant emotion. she leaned back in her chair, slipping off her glasses before finally speaking. “what are you doing here, kiddo? you don’t need a lawyer, do you?"

what is that supposed to mean? he takes a moment to process her words. he should be proud…that she could’ve potentially follow in his footsteps but instead, there is disappointment and slight anger building up. “ please, tell me you haven’t done anything stupid. ” billy comments sternly, “ your mother would kill both of us if she knew that you potentially hurt anyone…well,actually, she’d just kill me. you, on the other hand, … ” his digits run through his hair while he curses underneath his breath. “ what was that about, m? what do you mean? if this is a joke, it isn’t funny and i don’t take them lightly. ”

“Not a joke, more a...” She searched for the right word. Unable to find it, she shook her head. “Doesn’t matter what it is; point is, it’s not a joke. Promise.” Some things were just too important to joke about. This was one of them. When it came to everything she had been doing as of late, her infamous, secret project, she was deadly serious.
