      “   honestly i think it is.  ” and it’s no secret either , has already voiced his thoughts on the matter , and the glass he held only proved his point further. bourbon , nothing else - hoping for him to be able to kill time this way. “  no it’s fine.  ” but dimitri’s gaze has drifted back onto the crowd , honey hues searching for that particular femme - hoping he would spot her , but he does not - not yet. “   are you up to anything lilith ??   ”

LILITH SCOFFED AT THE MALE’S QUESTION. ❝ No. I am trying to enjoy myself, like most people in this building --- unlike you, it seems. ❞ But that was none of her business and it certainly was not her problem either. ❝ Let us hope the alcohol changes your mind about that, hm? ❞

“It sure as fuck worked well enough to get you into it, didn’t it? Then again.. pretentious isn’t so far off the mark with you, is it?” She mocked, something a little more forgiving in nature to her usual snark. “Give it a break, would you?” Cassie didn’t doubt that hell would soon break loose, who could ever pass up the opportunity with the demon at her side present. Temptation at it’s finest. “Let’s just..– make a little fun out of it.”

SHE WANTED TO GROAN THE SECOND SHE REALIZED THAT SHE APPROACHED CASSANDRA, NOT A STRANGER. ❝ You are just everywhere, aren’t you? ❞ There was a hint of annoyance and a hint of amusement lacing her voice, but the laugh that followed was not filled with any of it. ❝ This is work, sweetheart. I will be as pretentious as I need to be ; that does not mean that I lost my right to judge. We all play roles to get what we want, don’t we? ❞ The last sentence was purred, but she sighed at the female’s suggestion. ❝ Fine. Is there anything you would like to suggest? ❞

“I’ll remember that for next time.” Of course, Abraxas had no intention of donning white unless called for, but hey, he could say whatever he wanted. She intrigued him, and always had. What he had heard of her, after all, always did… “Oh of course it doesn’t. Nothing can. That’s the beauty of chaos, of destruction. It sticks forever in their minds and doesn’t go away so easily, no matter how many little parties these people want to throw. But indeed, blood on white will look great; it makes the clothing absolutely splash with color.” A grin curled Abraxas’ lips, his expression intrigued further. “Tell me, is that the plan for the evening?” he whispered. “I’ll be very bored if nothing happens at all.” 

LILITH GAVE HIM A LONG, AMUSED LOOK WHEN HE WHISPERED HIS QUESTION. ❝ I know we do not know each other that well, but... ❞ She leaned closer, her lips spreading into a wide smile before she whispered back to him. ❝ I will always choose red over white --- and this ball is totally lacking it. ❞ Her emerald eyes were gleaming, but her expression changed within the second, going back to full blown innocence. ❝ Then again... I could use a little help with that. Could I interest you in becoming tonight’s little helper? ❞

‘PRETENTIOUS.’ Wasn’t quite what he had in mind, but the word was definitely along the lines of it, she had her view, a great view, but he felt like it needed a little flair. “I think they were going for ‘this is the closest you’ll get to heavens ass’ , it’s definitely tasteful.” Though his presence at such an event is unprecedented, War was only there to keep up appearances, that he was simple.

THE REMARK MADE HER LAUGH ---  but it was his presence that made her feel giddy and caused her whole face to lighten up. ❝ Tell me ; do you honestly believe that they are that smart and sassy? Something tells me I would appreciate them much more, if they had your brains. ❞ Lilith mused before she smirked again. ❝ Welcome to High Water, dearest. Your timing is impeccable, as always. ❞

To be quite honest, Teresa didn’t feel this was the greatest distraction from what was going on in the real world. Yet, she understood why they did so. From her travels, sometimes people just wanted to have some fun before they were faced back into their world of poverty, struggle, survival. one never truly knew if they would come home alive the next day. In whatever case, she wasn’t going to fight the council on how they wanted to deal with the situations in their town. Instead, she would much prefer to just enjoy the party with a couple of friends and maybe find some nice company for the night. When Teresa was found dancing lightly on the edge of the dance floor and was approached by the girl, she couldn’t help but look over and furrow her eyebrows slightly. “Pretentious? Perhaps. I hardly understand this town as it is, but I don’t mind it. Besides, I think I look good in the pretentious white they wanted us wearing. So might as well enjoy it before we go back to the confusion and disaster that is our town.” She retorted, continuing to dance before mentioning for the girl join her. 

IT WAS NOT JUST THIS TOWN THAT LILITH DID NOT UNDERSTAND. It was the human race in general --- but she kept that thought to herself and tried to smile in response to the female’s words. ❝ You do look good in it, yes. ❞ She complimented right before she turned to steal more champagne from a passing waiter’s tray. ❝ But I am afraid you have another point. It is quite likely that the confusion and the disaster will continue. ❞ And it was questionable that the council continued to believe that this ball had been a good idea when the demon was done with them. ❝ I take it you are enjoying yourself though? How nice. ❞

Imogen looked at the other in confusion. “You okay there- you look like you’re gonna puke.” Imogen quipped. She pointed at the table. “I recommend the Sangria and  the pigs in a blanket.” Imogen cooed. “They’re so under rated.”

OF COURSE SHE LOOKED LIKE THAT.  Lilith hated the angels and all of the creatures that were connected to them. It was the kind of hatred that would scorch her soul, if only she had one, but she shook her head anyway. ❝ It’s nothing, really. It must be the white, making me even paler than I usually am. ❞ Sangria was music to her ears, but pigs in a blanket? She had definitely seen enough of them. ❝ On second thought... maybe food isn’t the smartest plan right now. I do feel a little nauseous, now that I think about it. ❞

    “  you’re not.  ” he agrees with her , finds the entire thing ridiculous - but his mind is wandering , sitll wonders whether or not his blood was used for that particular murder - if it hadn’t been that maybe he wouldn’t have minded , but it had been .  .  . at the same time he’s asking himself where emily was , if she would stop avoiding him. it’s why he’s asking no questions -  why he’s not even looking at her , but rather at the crowd , drink in hand as he tries to spot the red head. “  but at least the drinks are g o o d. honestly , i might just get smashed.  ”

THE DEMON HUMMED IN AGREEMENT WHILE SHE STUDIED THE MALE. ❝ Getting smashed sounds like one way to spend this evening. ❞ And not a bad one, either. It was an option that Lilith considered for herself --- but she could not give into the temptation just yet. ❝ You look so tense, dear. ❞ She pointed out before she faked a sigh. ❝ Is there anything I can do to help? ❞

she’d spoken too quickly.  she’d assumed it was a stupid human who’d come up to her to half-ass some flirting in order to get into bed with her or something.  the snark in her voice and features fell , however , as eyes looked upon the meatsuit of her mother.  instead , she smiled.  “  i haven’t yet.  but the night has only begun. “  who knows how it would end.

“I don’t know, I think it’s quite charming. And in the spirit of winter. And that other thing humans have? Christmas.” Valentina did not celebrate Christmas, for obvious reasons. And she couldn’t remember if she celebrated it when she was still human. Had she even been a Christian? Too much time had passed. “Have you noticed that when the snow falls, it covers up all the dirt? It sort makes the surroundings more attractive.”

SHE SIGHED IN RELIEF WHEN SHE RECOGNIZED THE FEMALE SHE APPROACHED. Perfect timing ; Valentina was the best person to stop her from ripping the council to shreds --- or to fuel her desire to do so. ❝ Does that mean that you would like to decorate a tree and receive presents this year? ❞ Lilith questioned in amusement before she shrugged her shoulders. ❝ It’s not the snow that I mind. It’s the people. Most of them, anyway. ❞

“You’re talking to the person who chose to go in as little white as he could get away with,” the demon commented, Abraxas grinning as he brought his drink to his lips, taking a swig. Sure, some of his attire might be white, but several other pieces had a darker shade, and he felt far more at home in that. “They’re going for pure. For innocent. To erase the sins of this town, surely.” He grinned wider. “Can’t cover up what everyone already knows, I’m afraid…” 

THE DEMON GAVE HIM A ONCE OVER WHILE HER LIPS CURLED INTO A SMIRK. ❝ What a shame. You would have looked stunning, all in white. ❞ She purred teasingly before she turned to snatch another glass of champagne from a passing waiter. ❝ Let them go for that, if they wish. A little bit of white is not going to erase the memories. Besides... I always believed that blood looked rather fascinating on white clothing. Don’t you agree? ❞

Imogen twirled around in her dress. She personally loved the concept of the ball. It made her feel like a princess. “Establishment is kinda shitty but hey the drinks are great.” Imogen smiled. “I’ll also dress like a snowman for free food.” 

LILITH CRINGED WHEN SHE NOTICED SOMETHING ABOUT THE BLOOD THAT RAN THROUGH THE GIRL’S VEINS. Angel blood. Not very much of it, but enough to make her want to throw up right then and there. How she despised them. All of God’s oh-so beloved children. Emerald eyes narrowed for a second, but the demon quickly reminded herself to play along. ❝ Are they? ❞ She questioned while she forced her lips to curl into a smile. ❝ I haven’t had a chance to taste it yet. ❞ The female glanced at the buffet before she glanced back at the female, pretending to be overwhelmed. ❝ Do you, uh... Do you have any recommendations? ❞

she’s been here for nearly half an hour and has already downed two and a half glasses of red white.  luckily not spilling any on her white clothing yet either.  in addition to the drinks , she’s also spent some time on the dance floor with some random dude she ditched after his hands wandered a little too far.  now she was off against the wall taking a moment to herself when she sensed another presenece approaching.  “  can i help you with something ? “ 

“I’ve known him long before he took upon the name Lucifer. I’ve known him long before he listened to my words when he was so full of light. Almost like when I had first saw you wandering through the Garden’s of Eden.” he said responded with a smile on his lips as he leaned forward, he brought his hand up towards the demoness tracing his fingers along side her cheek, lips parted,  “ If I was a traitor, I would’ve sided with Heaven. You should think more carefully to whom you speak too, I’m not your crossroads demon.” he whispered lowering his hand as he rested it upon the table.

LILITH ROLLED HER EMERALD EYES AND LOOKED AWAY FROM HIM WHEN HE MENTIONED THE GARDEN OF EDEN. Truth be told, those were memories that continued to fill her with bitterness --- even after all of this time. Even after she had her sweet revenge on Adam and made him pay for his attempts to force her to kneel to him. Her features stayed cold when he tried to use her own tricks against her, tracing his fingers over her cheek. ❝ No, you are not. ❞ She scoffed while she allowed her eyes to settle on his again. ❝ If you were, you would have much better manners. ❞

“  temporary favor.  “   yes , their job was to reap the souls of those deceased , and there were bound to be thousands , millions , to die when lucifer rose from his cage.  but they were a workaholic , and did not want their job to end too soon.  lucifer may wipe out the earth if he saw fit.  and sure , there were other worlds that they could reap from , but they’d taken a particular liking to this one.  

“Well lets what before blowing a state up, shall we?” Ueda joked. “I believe light-colored clothing is a good innovation as well.”
