“Rest assured Miss. Claire, I have no intentions of trying to steal Kol away from you. Even the idea of it makes my skin crawl. You’ll know my reason’s for wanting to find him once you hear my story.”
“I was 4 and it was the 1400′s when I met him, he was staying with my family because he found mine and my Mother’s ability interesting; having never met a Siphon in person before. We tended to be killed off or disowned and ended up starving before we had a chance to be known to the world. Unfortunately the witch village that my Mother and Father were staying in ended up sending a vampire to kill us all in exchange to a daylight ring, not knowing that he was there.”
“Unfortunately for the vampire? They didn’t know that an Original was staying with us. He ended up killing him for messing up his stay and brought me along as he started traveling again, still wanting to study my Siphoning ability. He was practically a Father to me growing up, then I fell in love and we had a falling out. He left but I found a vile of his blood beside my cot, eventually though the other’s in the coven I had ended up staying in found out I was a Siphon. My husband convinced me to run so that they would not kill me, and so I took the blood to heal the wound that the Coven had managed to inflict and fled.”
“A lone witch who couldn’t even use magic though was an easy target though, and I ended up a vampires meal–I woke up as a vampire and eventually learned that I could now do magic by pulling it from my vampirism. Despite the fact that I should have lost my abilities when I turned. I was suppose to meet my husband at a place we had decided but didn’t. Instead I ran, but Kol was daggered by the time I tracked him down.”
“And then he was killed–and I only survived because when the spell that made up the Sire-Link activated and tried to kill me I was able to siphon it away and destroy a bar in the process. And just a few days ago? I felt the link try to reconnect and had to Siphon it away again. So that is why denying he is alive is pointless when talking to me.”
Davina narrowed her eyes towards the vampire witch in front of her, listening as she explained her little backstory. She caught most of it, definitely interested in the latter part– “So you know,” she mumbled under her breath, her mind formulating several questions now. “Are there others– are there others like you?” she wondered almost out loud, her eyes never leaving the woman’s frame in front of her. She wondered if there were other sires of Kol much like her, a siphoner; who stayed alive after Kol died as a vampire long ago.
Davina remained in her thoughts for a while longer, still wondering if she trusted Halima; but it seemed that she couldn’t convince her that Kol hadn’t been resurrected. She shook her head at this and let out a sigh. “Fine. I’ll tell him to come over and speak to you– but I’m not promising he’d want to talk.”
“No, not that I know of. I’m fairly sure that the other Heratic’s I have heard of are from Klaus Mikaelson’s line.”
Not that she knew them personally, she had done her best to avoid them when they were alive and known. And then after they escaped from that prison world they had done the same, she knew the way that Siphons c- ould sense each other if they touched. She had never been to keen on drawing the type of attention that they got from Reyna Cruz.
“From what I heard well traveling here, the Mikaelson family could use all of the pow- erful friends that they can get their hands on right now.”
