s/o to closeted LGBTQ+ folk who have to vocally claim to be ‘allies’ for their safety.

s/o to LGBTQ+ folk who are told they “aren’t queer/trans enough”.

s/o to LGBTQ+ folk who are told they’re “too visibly queer/trans/’different’” and “make pride look bad” for not fitting a certain mold. 

s/o to LGBTQ+ folk who currently are closeted even to themselves and feel like they “don’t belong at pride” (many LGBTQ+ folk initially think they’re ‘allies’.)

s/o to questioning folk who are pressured to “pick a label” in order to ‘defend’ their place at pride.

s/o to LGBTQ+ folk who need/want to to bring a friend/partner/caretaker to pride for safety/support, but are afraid they’ll be read as cis/straight for it, or because the other person is cis/straight or not out they’re told to “not bring ‘invaders’.”
