“The lack of humanity does not a monster make.” He said, his voice a gentle sultry growl.

vasiliy tilted his head to the side. he was exhausted from the amount of miles he trekked. “then what makes a monster? it’s teeth? bloodthirst? i have not met a monster who passes for human.” he glances at the other, before shaking his head. 

open to anyone! mutuals prioritized. your muse was cursed to forget my muse every 24 hours, my muse spends every day trying to woo them. 50 first dates but magic basically.

some days were easier than others. the fates weren’t on their side, weren’t blessing their relationship, and in fact seemed to be doing the opposite. stubbornness was in her nature. evie refused to give up on the love of her life, even on the days when they opened their door and looked at her…like that. blank, like a stranger, probably wondering if she showed up just to sell them something.

“hi! i’m evie, i just moved in down the street.” a lie, she lives halfway across town, but it seems like a good opening line. something that will keep her from getting the door slammed in her face. she holds up a plate of sugar cookies, beaming brightly. “i brought you cookies! i know it’s supposed to be reversed, but…what can i say? i’m a rule breaker.” it hurts to see them without being able to reach out and touch them, stomach sinking with unease. it doesn’t show in her expression. she giggles lightly and waits, hoping in vain that they might invite her in.

antonio yawned and rubbed his hand down his face. though he slept well, he always seemed to need another hour or two. he looks up from the television at the sound of a knock. he doesn’t remember inviting anyone, so for a few minutes, he left it alone, figuring the person would get the memo. however, there was a nagging feeling in the back of his head to answer the door. switching off the romote, tony stands and walks to the door. 

seeing the blonde there was a surprise. he leaned against the doorframe and raised his eyebrows. “oh...? hey,” he murmurs. “i’m antonio- tony- if you’d like.” he glances down and his eyes light up. “sugar cookies are my favorite. come in, excuse the mess” he says, opening the door wider. “so what brings you to the neighborhood?”

he’d been keeping an eye on them for the past twenty minutes. he had pushed away a few people who had tried to attract his attention because he wanted to focus on them and the person with whom they were conversing. all it took was a simple touch on the thigh and he was walking over to the pair. he yanked the other’s arm away. “don’t fucking touch them.” he spat as he turned  and gently pulled them up by the shoulders. “come on, let’s get out of here.”

the conversation had been going well, at least, that’s what molly thought. she was leaning against the table, sipping on her sangria as the person across from her spoke. molly didn’t usually find herself in these situations, so she was trying not to freak out. however, she was surprised by the hand on her thigh. blue eyes widened as she opened her mouth to say something, but her friend beat her to it. blinking, molly stood up and smoothed down her skirt. “everything was going fine,” she murmured, shaking her head.

andrei looked up from the counter where he was cleaning as the door opened up. he must’ve forgotten to lock it right away as he had sent everyone else home for the night. “we’re closed.” he called, turning to look at who walked in with an apologetic glance. “ovens are off already, too.”

jackson knew he shouldn’t have come, but since when did he ever listen to directions? there seemed to be a devil on his shoulder all the time, whispering in his ear and causing all of his bad decisions. at least, that’s what his mom would say. the roadhouse blues came into view far too soon for jackson to consider walking away. the blonde pushed through the door, before tilting his head to the side, watching as andrei cleaned. “ah, come on. not even some chips for an old friend?”
