“Maybe…maybe the reason why you can see these people is because they’re stuck in between dimensions. For whatever reason, they haven’t crossed over to the dimension that they’re supposed to go to.” OA frowned and let out a sigh. Whenever she thought she was getting to the bottom of things, something else popped up and turned everything upside down. As much as she enjoyed her freedom, part of her wanted to be back in the basement with the others. It would’ve been able to make sense of things and find answers if she were with her friends. Now she had to make new ones and hope that they’d believe her ramblings.

“I mean, it just…it doesn’t make sense. Why are they here? What makes them stay here?” 

Klaus nods, his brow furrowed as he follows the OA’s train of thought. He’s not used to the whole ‘dimension’ idea, though logically, it makes a fair amount of sense. The only two dimensions he’s ever come into contact with are his concept of life and death–– but who’s he to say that’s where it begins and ends? Clearly the OA has seen much more. “Well, I see what you mean. Most people have some unfinished business. So that could be stopping them up. But that could be anyone and everyone.” Klaus could understand the feeling of wanting to go back to simplicity, even if it was bad. Quite a few relapses could speak to that.

“As for Ben, I... I don’t know. If he wants to be around, he’s around. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t. I can’t seem to make any sense of it. But then, I don’t know if he can either.”

Her bag is on her shoulder, though her shoes were still somewhere at the door: she definitely wasn’t ready to go anywhere, but if there’s anything Lilli knows ( aside from most things ), it’s when to take a graceful exit. Unless invited to stay. Especially when she didn’t particularly WANT to leave.

She reaches for the nearest pillow, throwing it at him under the guise of preparing her own landing spot. “If you’re trying to trick me into making you breakfast, you only needed to ASK.”

Klaus has never been good at NORMAL BOUNDARIES. When things are supposed to end, when you let go, when you leave, when you stay. He hadn’t had a good model for it growing up, he supposed. Reginald Hargreeves was hardly a normal man. But then again, neither was anyone in that house.
