                                  five  is  terrifying .  and  he  makes  sure  everyone  knows  it .

ben isn’t concerned with himself. ( truth be told, he never is. especially when his siblings are in trouble ). but -- he has the decency to look mildly abashed all the same.   ❝ if they’d been more of an issue, ❞   a pause. shrug.   ❝ i mean, we woulda been fine, klaus. ❞   ben squats down before his brother, carefully taking off the tape that binds him to the chair, uncertain how true his statement is. would they have been fine? would he have been able to control his monsters if he let loose? a sniff. he shoves the dark thoughts aside, leaning back on his heels.       ❝ but we’re not talking about me. are you okay? ❞

       “it’s too early for gin.”  tegan takes a sip of their beer (something imported, but the name escapes them).  they aren’t going to stop him, however.  tegan squints, followed by another swig of beer.  “i’m not a gin person, anyway.  can’t stop you from drinking it, though.”  there’s a shrug.  they really have nothing else to say.
