Affection? In my Batcave? - ACCEPTING - @perfectforayear
   Fear toxin.
She had many experiences with the concoction. Its effects edged into the deepest crevasses in your mind and pried them open. Precautions were always taken with it. She kept gas masks handy. Anti-toxins. But she wasnât fast enough when things turned on their heads. It had to have been a stronger strain, new and fresh, because the moment it had filled her lungs and entered her system her sense of reality was practically ripped from her fingers in a violent and jarring fashion. By time the sound of Cassandraâs voice began to tear through the onslaught on her senses, she couldnât really say how long she had been out. So to speak.
It was times like those one could be grateful for the company she kept. For her family. Her heart was still pounding, racing in her chest. Breathe heavy from anger and panic. A simple jerk of her wrist signified that she had been (rightfully) restrained. Pretty damn well at that. The cave was coming into focus, the sound of bats chirping echoing off the wall, and, eventually, Batgirl. No doubt worried beyond belief. But. It was a relief to have her there. Alice lowers her head as she works to steady her breathing. Back at the cave. Safe. The were both safe.
âCassandraâŚâ Her voice was hoarse and low as she spoke but calmer, even if it was a bit forced. Hopefully a reassurance into her slowly improving condition. A deep breath as she turns her head to look at her daughter, âGood job...â
