hello friends new and old!!

i love new years, i love the idea of a fresh start and since this blog is still on the new side i thought it fitting i celebrate that here! i’m so grateful to have the opportunity to nerd out with all of you and craft some amazing character interactions. i know it’s not a biggie to most, but i genuinely can’t believe i have over 100 followers now and so many loving mutuals. now for the good stuff! 

TWO randomly selected winners of this giveaway will get:

one photoshop manipulation of choice (can include change of appearance i.e. hair color, elf ears, vamp teeth or editing photos together for a ship, etc.)

one unique promo for the dash (may be gif or static)

one set of ~50 - 70 icons depending on sources (or an aesthetic edit if you don’t need icons)

depending on the response this gets, i may also pull for more winners to get a choice of one of the above gifts!

you were born to PRIVILEGE, the daughter of a diplomat and her doctor on the lush lands of  coruscant. an only child, you wanted for nothing, except perhaps more of your parents’ TIME, but that time you did have together was always filled with LOVE. when you were eleven, that’s when everything CHANGED.

your mother, she was important. people looked UP to her. she took this seriously, and when darkness began to spread she immediately lifted her light in defense. your father, he just wanted to find a place to hide. you saw them argue, the heat of their words seared into your memory, though you still don’t know who was right in the end. when their paths diverged, you watched your mother leave your vision for the LAST time, and soon after left your home forever. 

it was good with your father, for a while. it felt like an ADVENTURE, the two of you traveling the verse together. but you could SENSE it, sometimes, that he was no longer whole. you wanted to help, but didn’t know how. 

on a rainy day in takodana, you learn of your mother’s DEATH. she was a force of light to the END. your world view shifts as you begin to understand the darkness at work. you begin to feel that same hurt you see in your father’s eyes every day. but before it swallows you whole, fate intervenes.

there’s an attack in the village that you might call your current home, if you still believed in those. countless killed, many taken, even more injured. your father, though hesitant, can’t in the end resist offering his healing hands to those in NEED. that’s when they arrive. the resistance. you feel sensations you’d thought long gone, creep back into your heart. 

inspiration. HOPE.

when they attempt to recruit your father’s useful skill to the cause, you quickly JOIN the chorus of persuasion. eventually, he relents, perhaps seeing his wife’s light in your eyes for the first time in ages.

with this ragtag collection of fighters and survivors, you start to understand again, that long forgotten notion of HOME. even your father’s broken soul begins to heal, glad to be of service to so many. you stay close to him when you can, learning the basics of keeping folk alive because hey, you want to be useful somehow.

years pass. you’ve grown and so has the BATTLE. your life’s nowhere near perfect, but it’s begun to truly feel like yours again. then, again, it happens.

one day, your father ventures into the field, and he never comes back. 

so there you are, alone - only, you realize you’re not. your purpose grows STRONGER. you start to take on some of your father’s workload, because face it, the options are slim for both you and them. now more than ever, you are with the REBELLION. you will win.
