she’s thankful for reese - he’s one of the handful people , who can endure her , without breaking her heart ; so it doesn’t matter to her that she’s not always the absolute center of his attention , happy to have as much as she can . “ yeah ! it’s also partially my bad because .. i removed all the smoke detectors . ” giving him the infamous 2009 vma’s kanye shrug , “ then .. then perhaps i removed the door , so sims hella couldn’t rush in to save you . opps ? ” her giggle is loud , until he begins to speak again - circling back to her nonsense . “ you really think so ? that’s the best compliment i’ve ever received - you think i am real . ya , i don’t have time for existential crisis , fuck the .. red pill . ” for someone who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about how people perceive her , the boy’s opinion on hella is pretty influential , ironic . “ i got a new pet , you want to meet him ? ”

it’s funny how cyrus is her home ; she’s not sure when it exactly happened or how she ended up devoting a huge chunk of her heart to them . she is not complaining either - whether they’re her partner or just best friend , having them is .. more than enough ( which says a lot , since she’s never been the one to settle for enough ) . “ i know , right ?? i felt so bad . it took me the longest to understand . ” she lets out a sigh , trying to find a more comfortable position to sit , good thing she has the softest carpets ever . “ i don’t know why i thought we could do this by ourselves , ” she yawns , instinctively reaching out to pinch cyrus’ cheek . “ okie dokie artichokie, fuck this - we will have our tea or else ! ” the faux confidence getting easier to detect , she bubbles , chest raised & head high . “ or not tea ? i don’t care , you choose . hey - are you staying over tonight ? we can go out together ? ”

nights like this one makes hella feel alive -- slightly out of her comfort zone ( if there’s such a thing with the little beast ) , yet somehow , kind of blue . she would never let him know that , but leigh has always had a calming effect on her anyway . she blames him for the sadness that washes over her ; as his friend , her first duty is to be happy about his achievements . but then she’s left all alone with the fact .. that she has nothing . nothing she feels passionate about , like leigh has his music . intoxicated to the bone , the dizziness slows her movements , resembling a baby , trying to learn how to walk . “ i sell his hair online girls , follow me on insta ! ” she yells to the sea of young girls , ready to devour him . it’s kind of scary , hella thinks , being on display , all the time . she’s no stranger to the feeling though , thanks to her parents . as a kid , she had to endure shit like this one , or sometimes even worse , but at the time , it all felt like a game to her . mommy was a spy , and she had to outrun the crazy mob . there were no ties between reality & what was happening , and truth to be told ,  hells liked it better then . snapping out of her trans mode comes easily , “ my hero ! ” she chirps , holding his ( next to hers ) gigantic hand with her both , squeezing faintly . “ i practised my cheering , you want to listen ? ” without waiting for a response , she takes a step back , getting closer to the wall . hands thrown to the air , light brunette locks dance as she rocks her head , trying to create a genuine concert experience . “ L E I G H , leigh ! that’s my friend ! I SELL HIS HAIR ONLINE ! woohoo ! ” in seconds , she’s back to her usual self ( the one .. where she acts slightly normal ) , beaming . “ you like it ? ” 

𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: at this point im not even sure if we’re on speaking terms because . let’s be honest ,, i haven’t seen you ages . 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: but ! yesterday i got my weekly facial and i was # feeling myself so i got our favourite mask as well . didn’t sit with me right doing it without you . it’s weird .  𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: i KINDA miss you

“ .. and he texted me , saying ‘ do you need butter for your muffin ? ’ and i was like , ew , no , i’m vegan . ”  she needs to have a quick glance on them ( maybe to reassure herself , or to make sure she’s not being a bore ) over the instructions booklet she’s been reading . “ then i was like , why does this ‘ butter your muffin ’ thing is so .. familiar ? then i finally got it ! can you believe he was quoting mean girls to me ? ” she says , an impressed smile lights up her face , for just a second before it’s replaced by disgust . “ then it all went shitty because i said ‘ aha it’s my favourite movie ! ’ and he didn’t even understand . that’s when i understood he wasn’t quoting mean girls . he was just being .. ew . ” going over the same page for the fourth time , she reads the last sentence in a whisper , clearly annoyed . “ i don’t understand shit , cy . i give up . ” she throws the ikea assembly instruction booklet for a children’s play kitchen , duktig , over her shoulder , eyeing the mess she’s created on her bedroom floor . “ no tea party for us . i’m sorry . ”

𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: guess what i did today !! 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: i bet you can’t guess sjfhjkjskd 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: i .. i .. 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: i auditioned for a broadway show !!!!! 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪: i’m 99.9 % sure i’ll get the part :-)

tick , tock . tick , tock . hella doesn’t blink , as long as she can endure the burning sensation - waiting for the time to stop for her . it doesn’t . oh , well . “ you know , ” her voice is calm , an absent-minded look dominating her pale face . “ i don’t think we exist . like . i’m probably not real . but my cat ? she is real . i know that , like , for sure . ” hella rises from the soft cushions , shrugging . “ wouldn’t it be cool to know ? ” clearly amused ( or proud , can’t be sure ) by the intelligent conversation she’s offering , the extended hand stops near the male’s face . bop . she smacks her lips together as hovered finger presses against his pointy nose , a loud giggle filling the distance between  them . “ got the idea while i was playing sims - i created us ! we were roommates . until .. until you decided to cook . ” brunette sulks , still giggling . “ needless to say , sims hella is looking for a new roommate , the old one is .. a burnt chicken now . ”   

“ you just did . like .. a minute ago ? ” it’s not a lie , she’s confused . well , truth to be told , it’s not his fault -- hella has three permanent moods , confusion being the third . a radiant smile lights up her face with the mention of a hug , corners of plumb lips curling into a rather childishly mischievous grin . “ LEIGH ! oh god , you’re so sweet ! ” being petite is to her advantage , she jumps from her chair in a matter of seconds , on her way to his grumpy friend’s arms . “ you WANT a hug , ” flossie says , giggling , index finger pointing the male . she knows she doesn’t stand a chance against him ,  but wouldn’t give up without a fight either . doing her best , she awkwardly jumps on the male as if he’s a stiff tree , slim legs locked to his to prevent the inevitable fall . “ don’t be shy ! ” 

thirty minutes spent just by staring at her empty wall , waiting for her super-powers to kick in & create a gate to an alternative universe . thirty-one minutes . it’s probably not going to work , hella thinks to herself , head dangling from the end of her queen sized bed . manicured fingers reach for her iphone , only to meet the inevitable : she’s fucking late . throwing an over-sized dress on , hair in the messiest bun possible , she heads for the frozen yogurt shop to meet the second half of the dynamic duo . brunette lets out a loud laugh , waving to her friend , signalling her late arrival . “ i’m a wattpad girl , callie ! come & get me before harry comes out of the bushes and snatches me . you know i’m not fit for the working life ! ”

well . the place is definitely not her style , but who is she to judge anyway ? tucking the loose strand of hair behind her ear , the young brunette picks on her perfectly manicured nails , eyes wondering off to the sea of crowd . the noise is hard to handle , almost deafening , but it’s the cost of befriending a rock star , right ? fifth ‘ skinny bitch ’ running through her veins ,  she leaves her seat to find the backstage , where her friend should be waiting her , preferably , with a surprise . “ excuse me ! coming through ! please don’t - don’t push !! KARMA WILL GET TO YOU , mister !! ” it’s her high pitched voice & furrowed , bushy eyebrows that give her away , resembling a crazy groupie - “ i need to get there , ” hands resting on narrow hips , she points to the back , hoping the bouncer will not ask any questions . not happening . dammit . “ no you don’t understand , sir , ” she  clicks her tongue , “ leigh is MY friend . of course i’m not making this up , he’s writing a song about me ! people are going to have their first dance to it , okay ? song of the century , staring hella florence larsen . please , ” a-ha . there he is , so close but far away . “leigh ! leigh ! ” screaming as if she is being slaughtered , the petite one jumps & jumps , hoping he can spot her ( more importantly , he will not pretend not to see her ) behind the gigantic man blocking the view . 

“ i don’t understand , ” she says , the ghost of the childish smile still lingering on her face . “ when you said all those things about showering .. i thought you wanted me to smell you , ” the disappointment is real , she’s not letting him win , not like he usually does . “ ay , stop being a meanie ! do you want me to take the compliments back ? i can do that for sure ! ” her bottom lip sulks , openly sniffing her bare shoulder . “ it took me four hours to do it . you really can’t smell it ? it’s .. it’s honey and lavender . ”
