Chestnut-eared aracari (Pteroglossus castanotis)
The chestnut-eared aracari is a bird native to central and south-eastern South America. It belongs to the toucan and aracari family (Ramphastidae). Like others in the genus Pteroglossus, its diet mainly consists of fruit taken from trees in the area, sometimes retrieved by hanging upside-down. The chestnut-eared aracari also may include flower nectar, insects, and nuts in its diet as well.

The leatherback turtle is the only living member of the ancient family Dermochelyidae. All other sea turtles belong to the family Cheloniidae. The two families diverged around 110 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period. This means that the leatherback is completely evolutionarily distinct from other species of turtle, a true living relic.
Spider-Fish, Spider-Fish. Does what ever a spider wishes. Wonât spin a web, any size It doesnât have complex eyes. Look out, here comes the Spider-Fish.Â
Is it strong? Not so much. It doesnât have muscles as such. Can it swing from a thread? Walks on the seafloor instead. Hey there! There goes the Spider-Fish.
Okay, so sea spiders are actually arthropods related to crustaceans and insects. But âSpider-Arthropodâ just doesnât have quite the same ring to it! Sea spiders live in many ocean areas; this one was spotted in Grayâs Reef National Marine Sanctuary.Â

âImpaled By Swords Illusionâ Bagworm Moth Caterpillar (Psychidae) Psychidae caterpillars (or bagworms) spend their entire lives within a silken sleeve often decorated/disguised with what they find around them, whether it be loose leaves, pine needles or twigs. They extend these structures as they grow, feeding from the leaf surface at the base. Different species make characteristic structures and use specific materials usually associated with their host plant. This is the outcome when pine needles are amongst the scavenged construction materials. Kids, donât try this at home! by Sinobug (itchydogimages) on Flickr.
