One of the things that still impacts me the most out of the finale is the way Jax's abstraction is first shown. There's no previous immediate fight or drama or yelling or panicking. You just wake up one day and your friend is gone. Last time you talked to them they seemed more or less fine! They had some issues but they were getting better weren't they?

I really think it's used as a representation of suicide. Not for all abstracted circus memebers maybe but for Jax specifically. And it really can be like that. You wake up one day and your friend is suddenly gone. No saying goodbye, no grand finale. And it sucks, of course it does it is sad it is awful and that's someone that will not get to live their life, even when it was "just about to get better".

I liked how it was done. It was sudden and quiet like it was supposed to be. It has stayed with me since I watched it in theatres. She probably just closed her eyes and, let go. And then that was it.
