First of all, let me tell you I am terribly embarrassed about this :D

I just checked and yes, you are absolutely right about that. Thank you for pointing this out. The problem with the dialogue being cut off stems from the engine not telling you when the text is being cut off, it just does that and you have to guess how much text is too much. Apart from that, I just noticed I also forgot to delete the “SUPER MEGA INSTAKILL”-Skill I gave the Batter at a certain point of the game to make it easier for me to play it.

Again, I’m super embarrassed about that! (I actually feel like this game will never let go of my soul and I will have to fix these bugs for all eternity)

I just corrected these issues (I am sure there are thousand other issues left, I am so sorry future first-time-players of OFF) and updated the file.

Please check, I hope it all works well now.

this is the time where I should share the download-link with you and hold an inspirational speech how this was a dream of mine for years ... but the truth is, there isn’t going to be a release today.

I did this whole thing just to get clicks and likes on tumblr and I didn’t actually translate OFF. I couldn’t sleep the past few days because I didn’t know how I should explain this to you. I am deeply embarassed and sorry.

I am a disgrace for the OFF fandom.

it’s Fat Matt. How have you been doing?

The release date is getting closer, I am getting more excited and everything looks fine so far. There are a few minor things I got to translate, namely the ReadMe-file, but that’s it. We’re good to go. I will send the game to a friend of mine who will test it which will hopefully work out well aswell.

it’s me again. So there are just 9 days left huh? 

I still can’t really believe that we did it. I could repeat now that this was a dream of mine for years and I am very excited about it, but I will keep the chatter for an epic inspiring speech on the day of the release.

In the meantime I finished an OFF design, for those of you who are interested. Remember my last post? I promised you there would be some OFF designs on the store soon, so the first is available now.

I continued working on the last crucial parts of the off translation, now the last thing that needs to be done is to translate the ReadMe. I think I will be done this weekend.

So everything is nice and smoothly and there are no problems in sight (Everytime I say this...). So it really looks like we got the job done and can proceed to releasing it without any more puzzles to solve here.

I am very proud to announce that OFF German will be released at 9PM GMT on June, 30th. The download will be available on fat-matt.net (And yes, I am proud of the countdown). For those of you who want to support me, you can click on the button and buy some designs, from which I will get a part of, but you don’t have to do that if you don’t want to. There will be other designs, also OFF-related designs, there soon, too.

The reason why I chose 20 days is because I want to make sure everything works as it should and there are no evil surprises. (I bet there will be anyway) This will be an Open-Alpha, meaning I translated all dialogues and everything inside the game, except for the images (Part of the reason is that I don’t know how to add the text since I couldn’t find the fonts anywhere). Also, there will probably be a lot of errors like text being cut off etc. That’s okay, I expect that too happen. Send me your feedback and I will gladly fix the issue. Anyways, you will certainly be able to play the game and understand the dialogue, so these are just minor problems we are talking about.

Guys, this is a very profound moment for me since I wanted to translate this awesome game for so long now. This game really changed my life and convinced me to create games myself and become more independent and free-thinking as an artist. Mortis Ghost did an amazing job and I always wanted to translate it but it seemed like too huge of a task.

And now we are here. Finally.
