ellie: tf?? i know

she said she would do it so there she was holding up a pink sign with ellie’s name on it… max had a lot of fun making the cute sign for the girl to hold up at the airport. she had spend some time decorating and painting. she couldn’t wait to see her, as soon as she saw ellie walking out of the gate she ran up to her and pulled her into a giant hug. “hi!” she giggled. @ofeloise

the last few days eloise had been rough, and she really just needed a night to relax. so here she was, laying in bed with a vegan pizza & an overly expensive bottle of wine. she was sure she looked like a mess, the hood of her sweatshirt was pulled over her head to hide the disaster her hair probably was. she didn’t want to be alone though, so she called out to her roommate. “niko! come help me decide what to watch on netflix!” 

she was being quiet. he supposed that was to be expected. there were different ways that managers and agents handled telling their clients things and leo supposed hers must have been… more secretive about this session than they should have been. why had her agent even reached out to him? they had to know that leo was ellie’s ex. everyone did. he shrugged a shoulder when she asked the question back - a habit so many people had that irked him. most didn’t actually care how you were. they just felt obligated to ask what you did of them. the hurt feelings leo had from eloise and her handling of their relationship were clearly bubbling up. “i’m fine,” he nodded once. there was nothing more to give her. 

“you’re going to have to kind of bare your soul in here,” leo reminded her. this was a tricky situation for them. he was really good at his job, but he didn’t want to make el feel like she had to do this with him. “just… tell me if it’s all too fucking much,” he nodded, moving to sit back in front of the keyboard. “go ahed and get settled on one of those chairs or the table and show me what we’re working with,” leo spoke, his eyes on his phone. he let himself busy his hands by texting camila back and scrolling a little. he didn’t want to just be staring at el while she got situated. that would be… even more awkward. when she seemed to finally settle in, he put his phone away. “el, do you have any ideas or maybe lyrics? i know you don’t write music, but maybe we can start there,” he nodded before taking a sip of water. this had to work. he had to keep himself from getting mad or frustrated with her. 

“yeah well, that’s much easier said than done.” eloise had never been good with expressing her feelings, and talking about them with her ex boyfriend seemed almost impossible. this was already entirely too much but it was unlikely that ellie would ever admit it. she’s always been the type of person to just power through something no matter how much it hurt, and then probably cry about it all later when she was alone. but she nodded anyway, finally moving from the spot she’d been practically frozen in since she’d first entered the room. she sat in one of the two chairs, getting her notebook out of her bag as she settled in. she pulled her hair back, tying it into a messy bun. it was a habit, something she always did when she had to focus, and there’s no way she could do that with her hair falling into her face. 

“i don’t know, i’ve kind of just been writing down random things over the past few months as they come to me.” she shrugged, opening her notebook to the page where she had started writing down random lyrics. there were multiple pages, all filled with her pristine cursive hand writing that was of course written with a pink gel pen. “you can take a look if you want. don’t judge me though, it’s probably no where near what you’re used to.”
