𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓╱𝑨𝑻𝑻𝑨𝑪𝑲

he’s not one to get attached to patients , he fixes them and then sends them on their way but this one holds a special place in his heart ❛now , i don’t usually get attached to my patients but this is that one rare chance , i have seen them since i was an intern and the patient as well as his daughter . don’t speak unless you are spoken too . ❜ walking inside the room he sees the male and his daughter ❛Mr. sullivan ---- pheebs . i have great news , i took the tumor out and you can go home but you have to come back in a week a half for the results . ❜ turning to his interns ❛get me his discharge papers . ❜ looking at the phoebe he smiles ❛we did it. he is all brand new and ready to go home. ❜

There were dozens of rooms with views of St. Mary’s Church. Hollows Hotel wasn’t the biggest hotel in all of Georgia, bigger than necessary for a small town like Peach Hollows. And though it wasn’t that big of a hint, at least it was a start. As Kaleb elaborated on the importance of the pocket watch, Cecelia pressed her lips together in a polite smile. She was going to do her best to find the watch anyways, but now the pressure of finding a precious family heirloom after a couple weeks and hundreds of guests coming in and out of the hotel since his stay was like finding a needle in a haystack. But, she would do her best.

“Room with a view of the cross, got it,” she said, cross her arms across the counted between them. “I’ll take a look at our records from the last couple weeks and have the maids look around the rooms, and we’ll give you a call if we find anything. Do you have a business card, or something? Or should I just call the hospital?” She asked, her tone taking on a much more professional tone than earlier.

this watch represented something for him, something that he had lost so much long ago. he didn’t know whether it was his father itself or was it the memory of what his father was and all those memories on which he forgot all about , replaced with the horrid events of that day. he knows very well that her finding that watch after so many weeks , it seems impossible but he is holding on to the fact that it’s so,where in the hotel , he can’t bare the thought of losing it . the only thing left that he had of his father m gone just like that because he was too careless to take a second look.

❛ i’m sorry , i know that isn’t probably the best detail . ❜ he simply shrugs his shoulders as he takes a deep breath, his pager continues to buzz in his pocket  ❛ you know what , ypu can just call the hospital and ask for Dr. Knoxx and they will connect you or if anything here is my phone number . ❜ he digs his hand in his pocket and pulls out a card he had in his wallet and writes down his number ❛ honestly , you can call at whatever time , you wish . ❜

           getting injured wasn’t common in the blonde. even though she practiced lots of sports, they weren’t high impact —- and even if she did  end up with an injury, it was, at most, a sprained ankle. however, after tripping on the pool and her boss completely blowing everything out of proportion, she had ended up in the ER, soaking wet, and with a shirt that was definitely not hers covering the fact that she was only wearing her swimming suit.      ‘ just my leg, but i’m sure i look worse than i feel, doc. ’

“Thank God. I’m supposed to see my daughter later.” If he was admitted to the hospital he’d more than likely leave against the doctor’s orders. Sonny had never stayed at the hospital in his life, always one to disregard what he was told and do as he pleased. Now that he had Lucy in his life, there was no way he was going to fuck up his chances to see her, even if it did mean dealing with an injury on his own. “Getting stitches, coming back next week to get them out, got it,” He repeated with a nod, flashing the doctor a grin. “Sounds perfect. Stitch me up and get me outta here, doc.”

❛ well you have to behave good if you wanna get out of here . ❜ he smiles as he grabs the needle and stitches and begins to sew him up ❛ camile or whatever it is , i need you to take him for a CT and as soon as you get the results i need you to page me so i can get discharge him -----❜ he watches the intern stay still ❛what the hell are you waiting for , go get CT ready ! ❜ a low sigh escapes his lips as he looks at sonny ❛look, i don’t have  a kid but i do have a kid sister and even though shes a pain int he ass , i love her so stay out of trouble because sometimes we don’t appreciate what we have . be there for her even when she doesn’t want you just be the best dad you can be for her .  ❜

Angel didn’t know the chief of surgery personally because there was never any reason for her to interact with them, but she had heard enough from some of the surgeons on the floor. She could tell Kaleb was mad stressed though and she didn’t really know what words he could hear from her that would make it better. Nurses do a lot but it’s mostly after care, she knew nothing about an actual surgical plan. “If you go in with the mindset you’re going to fuck up, then you will. And if you honestly believe you are going to do more harm then good- maybe don’t do it. But don’t chicken out because you afraid to strike out.

there were moments like these ones when he didn’t know if he was as good as everyone thought that he was. his sister had just told him that he wasn’t god and that he couldn’t cure what wasn’t meant to be cured ❛kylie thinks that i’m going to mess this up . she blatantly told me that i wasn’t god and maybe she’s right , maybe i can’t do this angel . maybe this ------- ❜pinching the bridge of his nose he stands up and shoves his hands in the pockets of his scrubs ❛what if i get in there and i can’t save her . ❜ sitting down on the couch he puts his hands on his face. ❛ i can’t quit , i can’t do this . ❜ grabbing his phone he calls the chief ❛chief i need kylie off the diaz kid , i can’t do this surgery if i’m worrying about what kylie is going to do . i just need myself and the peds attending ❜ hanging the call . he turns to look at angel ❛i had to and you know it’s better this way , she can hate me for it later . ❜

Maggie took the phone, easily finding the maps app and typing in her address. Good, she wasn’t as far away as she thought. And she was heading in the right direction, it was only a few more blocks up. Relieved, she handed the phone back to the stranger as Scout fawned all over him when he pet her, sniffing and licking his hands, rubbing against his legs. “She loves attention from anyone and everyone,” she said with a small chuckle. “Yeah, thank you. I’m only a few blocks up this way. Looks like you’ve got a good chunk of battery left. I thought I was going to die out here without finding my way home.” She laughed lightly just to show he was only joking, though a small bit of anxiety was relieved now that she did know the way home. 

❛she’s adorable , always wanted to have but i’m a workaholic so i don’t see that happening anytime soon . ❜ a chuckle escapes past his brims ❛well, glad i came to the rescue and it seems that i am a little far so i think i’ll just go ahead an order an uber ❜his phone rings and places it to his ear ❛hell ----- yeah it’s okay . i don’t have any surgeries until the morning so instead of going home i’ll just go get dinner , no worries i’ll grab you something and put it in the fridge . i’ll talk to you later .  ❜ looking at the blonde as he puts his phone in his pocket ❛sorry about that , the sister . ❜thinking he tilts his head to his side ❛i promise i;m not a killer but would you like to go get some dinner , we could drop off this cutie at your house then i can go pick up my car , only if you want to , you can say no , it’s an obligation . ❜

“Cardio, that’s impressive…” maybe she was fluffing him up a little bit. But it was impressive. She thought that undergrad and then three years of law school was rough, she couldn’t imagine being in school for as long as he had. She ordered another martini when he got another drink as well and then nodded along with his reasoning. “Oh I don’t mind,” she assured him. “I don’t care what people think of me at all, just know that there are some who might say I’m kind of… a bitch. You’ll think so too, just give it some time.”  She flashed a smile as the waitress returned with their drinks and Scarlett took a sip. And when he declined her offer, she shrugged. “Suit yourself. Nothing wrong with having a little fun.” 

a small smile spreads upon his lips ❛it is simply not for the weak .❜ pearly whites gnawed on his lesser lip . grassy hues scan up and down her features as he takes another sip from his drink. he hasn’t really had a conversation with anyone really and she certainty is the first one who has caught his attention . ❛well, not calling you a bitch but you surely have that demeanor of someone with power . ❜looking around he let’s his gaze turns back to her ❛ i’m never opposed to a little fun, in fact i am endorsing but i prefer to choose who it is that i want to have fun with . ❜his tongue dips out wetting his brims as he give her a look but he takes a last chug of the bourbon ❛i should get going before i do something i’m going to regret in the morning . ❜

Peyton was used to getting blown off by Kylie. It wasn’t so much that she was unreliable, because that was by no means the case. Perhaps the girl was too reliable, always putting her patients before anything else the way a good health professional does. The girl had plans to grab a late night bite to eat at the diner, yet as the air grew chilled Peyton found herself alone. This was, however, until she heard a familiar voice nearing. “Nope, unnecessary.” Peyton said justly before turning to face him. “Your sister blew me off again, something about a critical emergency. But you want to know what a real critical emergency is? My hunger right now, I haven’t eaten and I was waiting around for her to go Heavenly.” The girl crossed her arms across her chest, being dramatic but by no means kidding.

the friendship that kylie and peyton had was hard to understand but then again, kaleb wasn’t one for friendships . his life was his job and the only other person whose opinion mattered besides himself was his mother. hearing her complain about how kylie had blew her off again caused a chuckle to expel from his lips ❛you should know by now that this is something that we do , how many times have you heard kylie complain cause i miss church or dinner or breakfast. we live for the cut , its why were surgeons . patients will always come first and i am hungry too , so stop pouting and let’s go get something to eat on me . ❜he shifts his head up signalling for her to stand up ❛come on , let’s go get something to eat before you kill everyone here . ❜

Sonny had been involved with the cops before, so he was glad that they hadn’t been called. His record was far from clean and the last thing he needed right now was for them to take him to the station for questioning. Now that he had Lucy and Liv in his life, he was trying to stay out of trouble - unless trouble was necessary, in which case he’d do what needed to be done, like he’d done today. “I really did hit my head. Got into a little fight,” He said after a moment, lifting his gaze to meet the other’s once the room was emptied. “Should I have any questions?” He asked, never knowing what he should ask when someone offered him the opportunity to question them.

❛ okay well, i am not going to make you stay over night because i honestly do no see the point in it, you just need a few a few stitches on your head and let me get you an arm band . i want you here next week so i can take out those stitches . ❜ taking out a tray , he puts on a pair of gloves ❛do you have any question you want to ask me ---- sonny ? ❜ he says scanning the ipad getting his name ❛what i do want to ask you , actually tell you is please for the love of god do not remove your stitches by yourself , you are going to come in a week and i will take them out . now after i’m done stitching you up , my very stupid but qualified intern is going to take for a CT and then depending on that , i’ll discharge you , sounds good ? ❜

Cecelia listened intently to the details of the man’s missing pocket watched, wracking her brain for any mention of the watch in the last couple of weeks. Things went lost or were forgotten more often than not at the Hollows Hotel, so she was sure his missing watch had found home with the lost teddy bears, phone chargers, self-care products and shoes that littered the lost & found. “Pocket watch,” she repeated, opening the drawer under the desk and sifting through the items. “Do you remember which room you stayed in, Kaleb? I mean, I could always look it up but if you remember I can ask one of the maids to take a look in the room.”

he wants to say that he remembers but the first few weeks here , it was all so hectic . he needed to know the hospital , the whole department and who were the people that he was working under and from his memories that whole first two weeks are kind of a blur ❛i want to say that it was -----❜ he stops and tries to remember what was around him , the bed or the view. yes he remembers the view and the cross ❛i remember st.marys church, from my window i could see the cross , i just . ❜ he doesn’t get emotional , it’s not a thing for him , he could care less but this , this watch is all that if left of his father ❛yeah , i would really appreciate it if you could do that , like i said this pocket watch is priceless and , i left in such a hurry last time thta i didn’t check if i even had with me . ❜ hi phone stars buzzing , it’s kylie and he knows he’s late for work. grassy hues meet the femme’s dark brown ones ❛i have to get going but i work at the hospital if you do find it just gimmie a call please, thank you for your help, really. ❜

Saves lives and helps people. Her first thought was firefighter. He had that chiseled firefighter look about him. And she gave him another once-over look before he mentioned the hospital and she put it together. “Ah, I see,” she nodded. “What kind of doctor are you?” She was thinking probably a surgeon if he was personally called out here. Or possibly an oncologist. “You’d be pretty surprised,” she said when he mentioned no one wanting to avoid her. “Plenty of people in this town want to get away from me. I’m a prosecutor for the District Attorney’s office. I’ve made a few enemies.” She finished off her drink with another gulp and set the empty glass on the table top. “Well since this is your first night out it’s got to be memorable.” Scarlett smirked across the table at him. “I know a few of the girls here personally. And any of them would be happy to give a good-looking guy like you a private dance.” 

he loved what he did , ever since he realized that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. he has the real power to save people. everyone had their own demons but it always felt like kaleb’s demon’s were stronger than anything , simply because he hadn’t given in. ❛cardio , i’m the new chief of cardio . ❜  hearing her talk about why people decided to avoid her he simply shakes his head ❛so what , you stepped on some toes to get what he needed done , it’s not that serious . if anything you are doing your job and whoever doesn’t like it can walk out ❜he extends his hands calling for another drink ❛for example , my job is not the easiest to make friends and i am more than sure they all hate me including my sister but i save lives and i am damn good at it are you good at your job . ❜ he smiles tilting his head to the side , her inquiry about the lap dance he shakes his head as he takes a sip of the drink ❛thanks for the offer but i think i’m good plus i don’t need the locals talking bad about me . ❜

Well, that wasn’t what she expected. She’d had a ray of hope and now… gone. But at least she was with someone else. And he didn’t look like a crazed killer, but then again neither did Ted Bundy. “Well we’re a good pair,” she mumbled as Scout happily approached the stranger and proceeded sniffing him. “Would you mind if I borrowed your phone? Just to google the directions so I can at least head in the right direction. I think if I can just find a road I recognize I’ll be good.”

he shakes his head as he looks at her and lets his hand slide into his pocket , handing her the phone. ❛ oh wait . ❜ he takes the phone away from her putting in his password for her and handing her back the phone ❛ i keep forgetting to to take that off . ❜ ducking down he pets the dog , scratching behind the dogs ears ❛hey sweetie , i smell like a dog right , is that what i smell like ? ❜ he smiles looking back at the blonde ❛ my sister has a dog , so that's mist likely all the sniffing . did you figure out where we were ? ❜
