☆ “…” A tentative pause gave breath between lips. They parted, almost to say something, but closed immediately. She was thinking. Saw the thin form of stomach by hind legs. But she knew nothing of his species, of what he was or what they were meant to look like. There was little for her to go on. Thought him a lion, a mutt. A… Wildebeast? She shook her head, gaze downcast.

“Survivable and proper food are two entirely different things. What do you normally eat?”

It's clear the woman had gotten lost in her own thoughts over the matter, so he remained still—though furred ears twitched slightly, showing Nanaki was completely attentive to her regardless. But at the question asked of him, he simply drops his gaze for a long moment before looking back up at Tifa.

For what felt like far too long he'd been stuck in that overly large, and very reinforced glass cage. A handful of times would see himself out of it, though that was not saying much when he was being restrained so that Hojo could perform various tests. Even fewer still were the times he was simply left in peace, for if it wasn't the twisted scientist himself... There were other caged experiments causing a ruckus nearby, or some of Hojo's subordinates jotting down notes as they simply observed him.

This woman though... Nanaki had never seen her before, and he definitely would have remembered too— there was very little to do as it was, beyond memorizing the faces of his captors for later.

There's an almost amused huff, what one would assume akin to laughter, as he slowly sits and looks up at her. "I am doing as well as I can be, do not worry." Nanaki attempted to reassure Tifa, though his current looks were probably not helping. After all, he had been there quite awhile.

His head turns ever so slightly, enough so that he can glance at the numbers marking the fur of his shoulders. It'd been quite awhile since he'd gotten them, and honestly by now their presence was something he rarely thought of— not that he could really do anything about them, even he if really desired to.
