Kida had seen it when she aided Milo in the caves, and now made no noise or attempted to attack as it had previously. These outsiders had the most curious things, where Atlanteans had no use for such, and it only made Kida all the more intrigued.

Such a compliment comes at a surprise, even moreso from the following question that leaves Kida in morbid curiosity. The fire that personified itself within the stranger's locks was far more appealing than her own, typical of any Atlanean. βI should believe so.β An uncertain reply, dark fingers raising to brush stray white past a bare shoulder. βI would not know what to consider myself if I was not.β

MOUTH : Does your muse have a preference over sweet or savoury treats?
Kida has never had a sweet tooth. Even when Atlantis was still above the surface and the city had an abundance of sweets and chocolates from trades, Kida never saw the appeal. She much prefers the savoury taste of meat and seafood. I wouldn't necessarily call Kida a picky eater, since she does try everything at least once, but if it's too sweet for her pallet don't expect her to eat a lot of it.
HEART : Which one does your muse value the most within themselves respectively in others, emotions or rationality? Why?
A mix of both. Kida is a rational person by nature, but she also wants to trust the intentions of others, be them good or not. That doesn't necessarily mean she's trustful of everyone she comes across, she does have her guard up around people, especially outsiders to her city. She is a warrior by trade, when one acts with emotions you run the risk of getting yourself or the people in your party hurt. Kida is emotional, but she swallows her pride when she has to and does what should be done rather than what she thinks needs to be done.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)
This post isnβt really about anime. Just a rant about how Kida from Atlantis: The Last Empire should be one of the main Disney princesses because she IS indeed a princess by Disney standards. She is the daughter of Kashekim Nedakh who is the Chief/ King of Atlantis. In fact, sheβs closer to being a princess than Mulan is, (Who isnβt technically a princess. While she has a very high position of honor in China, sheβs still only married to a general.) So just saying that even if they wanted to keep the same number of Disney princesses Kida could easily replace Mulan. (Not that I have anything against her.)

Kida would be plagued with nightmares after the tsunami that would bring Atlantis to its knees. The sky going dark, the shouting of her people as their inevitable doom would be upon them. A guard would run to the royal family, to guide them to safety and here Kida would remember dropping her favourite childhood toy.
How her mother would scold her that they had no time to waste, for her being so childish to even dare attempting to retrieve the doll when she could not comprehend what was happening around her, the screams and cries of fellow Atlanteans crying in her ears as they ran past, the ringing of the gong that impended their doom.
She remembers her mother's grip upon her arms, how soon the fingers that held her wrist would soon grow limp and the bracelet gifted to her would be taken from her. Just like her mother.
Into the floating star in the sky that could be mistaken for night, how her father shielded her eyes to protect her. Kida would wake up crying for her mother, knowing full well that she was gone. Tears that would be the night's secret and stain her pillows in attempt to hide.
And she would hate herself for being so selfish. Perhaps if it wasn't for her, her mother would still be with them today.
