Distant Thunder

apparently there’s a phone booth in fuck-where of the Nevada dessert and some crazy guy camped by it for 5 months to “answer calls as instructed by god” and the pentagon called him. why did the pentagon call a phone booth in a dessert 8 miles from the nearest paved road.

I wonder i there's some sort of undetective gas that can seep up from the underground and mess with people's brains. Like all those cases of hotels being "haunted" and notorious for people killing themselves or going insane, you gotta be wondering if there's something in that specific location because c'mon people don't go to a hotel because they know a bunch of people have killed themselves there and then commit suicide in the most strange and impossible ways to add to the mystery. Like aren't there a bunch of colorless scentless gasses and liquids? Maybe there are some that can form naturally, and affect people who are exposed to them if you're suddenly exposed to them for a while (which might be why it's always hotels that are know for these things)
