Derek O'Donnell: Attention Span

I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Matt at his new apartment. Matt has a collection of fantastic button-up shirts and is the only guy who can fully pull off the "shaved on the sides" haircut. Matt also had these amazing McQueen sneakers that I'm going to steal from him. You hear that, Matt? Don't go to sleep.

Sarah was one of the first people I every photographed in a serious way. When I say serious what I mean is I did not intend to then photoshop their body into a biblical image of hell or put them on hotornot.com, which is what made up most of my high school art career.

If Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rob Lowe produced a child it would be Mathew Morand. That hair, that jaw, those lips! Aside from looking like a heavenly bad boy Mat is also a talented photographer and my former roommate. I had the pleasure of photographing Alan Sellathamby around his Toronto apartment. Alan speaks French, reads books, likes video games and has excellent bone structure. If Daria had a cartoon boyfriend it would probably be Alan. He also resembles my former doctor, so it feels like I have known him forever and that he has checked me for a hernia.  It was hard to find a photo in the set where Alan was not smiling. Here are the ones where Alan was just regular happy instead of really fuckin' happy. Enjoy!
