No, he's not. This isn't his story, and as I said before, I'm not continuing any old storyline. What narrative we created was really fun, and I’m not going to edit it. I can't speak for Michel as he's not mine. I'm still making animatics about Elias because I love him, but I’m not putting him in a different story or romance. I could make him fit. But I don't want to.

I like DMing and I'm very competitive towards myself, so I just want to become a better DM. Not to beat a dead horse (good god, the horse has been fucking pulverised, there's a vapour that once was this horse) but you don't become a better DM or person by hunkering down in a hole and going "Well, I suck ass. Now I'm going to roll over, do nothing and decompose." Congrats. You'll become one with the earth. A good goal, I guess, if that's the intended one, but it won’t make you better than you were. I cannot be arsed to pretend I don't feel regret about having handled it badly then, either.

Any other people I DM for are just cool people in their own right. Can’t replace the old equally cool group, you know. Who else is gonna accidentally kill an owl while sleepwalking, ask bugs to dig up skeletons and become bug queen, or give increasingly vague and contradictory statements as to where they’re from?

You retaining "bratty and emotionally constipated" is the best read, hands down. No big arguments needed, that's the truth right there 🤝

In my very sparse off time I've been doodling a new campaign in the same world, as it's my baby, but different locale. Excited to see what I've gotten better at as a DM/person/newbie and what still needs work! But we'll be starting after Magnificon/possibly after Dokomi as I have a lot of deadlines in May.
