except all of that is thrown out the window when thanos and minsu show up for the date…… and thanos is rendered completely speechless and is completely stunned by surprise when he sees his date for the night. because as it turns out, it isn’t a blind date at all, because thanos already knows the man being introduced to him.

Everything reminds him of Thanos. He searches up some clips or music videos to find any memory of him, but all he finds are headlines of the famous rapper disappearing and of how his last public sighting was fucking up the words to a song he knew word for word in a huge competition.

Thanos that night had deleted all of his social media posts in attempt to do a clean sweep, to comeback popular again for his eagerly awaiting fans. ("like all the famous celebrities do, Namsu"), but that only left Namgyu emptier and lonelier. What was supposed to be a burst of life in a storm - lightning under the covers of black clouds - was simply the just clouds rolling through the sky, passing just as the time did without Thanos. Moving on like insignificant cars in a bustling, chaotic city.

Thanos was an underground rapper, who wouldn't even be placed underground because of the bathroom brawl. His mother would think that he was ignoring her calls. Was she calling? Namgyu would never know.

Namgyu would never know many things about Choi Subong. Choi Subong would never know many things about him. It's hard to move on when your highest paying customer just disappears and everybody expects you to know why. Namgyu was just out with the flu. He's fine. He's quiet because he's still tired from illness. He zones out and polishes the same glass for five minutes because he slept bad the night prior. He refuses to touch the cutlery because he has a newfound phobia of germs. It's all bullshit, but they don't care about him, just as the world didn't care for Thanos. They don't press him further on it, either.
