I thought this was fine but eleanor's route felt like the writer got hit with a brick halfway through and there were a lot of baffling decisions surrounding eleanor, especially with how they constantly put jianghe = eleanor but always went out of their way in the nyx route to emphasize that selene and nyx weren't their past selves so... why did eleanor get this treatment??? but also they didn't even give us a jianghe portrait to at least help us feel connected to her either lmao

(I'm aware that they're making a jianghe portrait now but it kind of feels a little too late)

I don't want to be too nitpicky either but there were a lot of errors at the end of routes, especially with iris' and then eleanor's route had actually had a crash that kinda took the wind out of our sails lmao but me and friend pressed on because we just needed her ending to get the true ending and with the way everyone kept posting iris cgs within days of release, the true ending was going to be spoiled to us before long lmao (but also like... what happened to internet courtesy, people were already posting spoilers literally only like a day after the game released)

overall it wasn't bad for the most part but the way some of the routes played out were kinda just like lol okay I guess that's happening. I can see the appeal for certain crowds of people but I don't think I was in that crowd.

really enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would, especially because ran was SO into sakura to the point of excluding everything else and it did get a little grating at first before it was like well if nothing else she is consistent about it and then the last third of the game was just like oh. oh. guessed at some of the things happening in the game but for the most part it kept me on my toes and there were some developments that I truly did not see coming at all so let it be said that I never knew what to expect in this game and it did make for a fun, gay, entertaining ride

def recommend!! but also very big tw for gore because while I'm not exactly squeamish when it comes to images of gore (I also say this as also having watched lps of the spirit hunter: death mark games lmao), there were some that did make me grimace

people kept recommending this and after how many something years the vn bug hit me and I gave it a try

I. hmm. My impression is not very good lol I want to give the benefit of the doubt because it's clearly their first work but I just really wasn't feeling it. I don't want to be too mean but the entire vibe of the game gave me self-insert romance, especially with how constantly helpless Marina was and how much Amber needed to save her, never mind that Marina honestly barely had any agency and Amber was getting overbearing and clingy, especially around the Vegas part. I played the entire game looking at my screen like ???????? most of the time because the sudden whiplash Amber got after they got the final treasure just had me so confused.

also ngl the whole gold rush plot + the disrespect to the Navajo monuments made me uncomfortable too so ehhhh... I always see their games being recced and I want to give another one a try but man, this one really burned me.
