Ocean's Scribble Shack

I tried drawing some perspective for the first time with a big @star-bright-unicorn. It’s definitely something for me to work on more in the future. 

@crimson-rune got big somehow, and he’s having a hard time adjusting. Luckily, his fellow large corn @snapfeather is there to help. At least, he probably will once he stops hopping from excitement.  The struggle of trying to draw destruction and backgrounds continues. 

Happy Birthday, @snapfeather! You’re finally 12.

I did a thing for a group collab type deal. It’s been a while since I’ve colored anything. I should really do it more often. 

Here’s a late birthday gift for @mythpony ! His horse, Splash Stroke, is contemplating on whether or not he wants to mess with a certain building. Will he give in to temptation and have some fun with it, or will he take the moral high ground? It’s up to you to decide! Buildings and backgrounds are really tough, but I think I’ll take some time to work on that throughout the week. Hopefully, that will all improve in good time. 

I wanted to see what I could do in 30 minutes. Nothing special here. 

I’m finally settled here in Canada now that my computer has arrived. Finally, I can get back to practice. Here we have City Sweep, one of @star-bright-unicorn  ‘s characters. The big hunk seems to be enjoying a nice, relaxing day off. 

Have some inexplicably massive horses. Somehow, @snapfeather and @mythpony  ‘s Spalsh Stroke grew a ton. What fun! I’m really, really not good at backgrounds yet. I mean, I’m not really good at ANYTHING related to art yet, but that’s definitely been the most tricky part for me so far.

I’m still alive! Things have been a little hectic lately with people visiting and preparing to leave the country, but I’m still trying my best to keep doing my thing.  This is something that was holding me up for a while with the lining process, and I’ve spent a stupid amount of time trying to make it work, so now it’s looking like I need to just move on here. At least it’s SOMETHING to post, I guess. Also, collars are pretty great. Ocean seems to enjoy his, and he looks about ready for a nice, potentially destructive walk. 

“April Fools!” ...Ocean gets a little confused about normal holidays and traditions. He saw some of the tiny ponies messing with each other, and was enthusiastic about joining in on the festivities. His idea of a “prank” includes sitting on a building. That’s how it works, right? I realize the building is pretty terrible (along with everything else, really), but I’ve been working on this for way too long today. I’ll be sure to get more practice in for that soon. 

Anyone up for a little 1v1 basketball with a divine stallion?  @star-bright-unicorn  ‘s character has a neat little alternate universe that apparently I’m on board with now. If you’re unfamiliar with the idea, it’s essentially his horse as an omnipotent, all-knowing godpone. It’s a pretty fun thought, and I like the silly shenanigans that come with it.  I know I haven’t been posting as often, but I think I’m finally over being in a bit of a rut art-wise. More to come soon! 

I tried whipping up a background for this, but it just wasn’t happening. Maybe I’ll practice drawing some Equestrian architecture next to avoid this problem in the future. 

Here, have a pony. I guess you could call this a re-draw. Rhubarb still needs a cutie mark, but I’ll probably figure that out over the weekend.

I’ve been feeling pretty tired and queasy this week, so there hasn’t been much drawing other than doodling heads. I know I should be pushing myself to do more, but on the other hand, I should try to focus on feeling better maybe? I’ll most likely do a complete draw tomorrow regardless of how I feel. 

Tidal Wave (or Ti for short) is a character @snapfeather and I came up with a while back. He’s essentially what Snap and Ocean’s child would look like if they had the ability to reproduce. He’s what some call “a butt baby”.  It’s a silly idea, but I think he’s a cutie. I should be able to draw him a bit more detailed next time. Tonight’s been a bit wonk.
