Take A Dip In The Ocean of my Mind

My first work doodle done at my new (now old) job. I was inspired by the Disturbed version of "The Sounds of Silence" which I find particularly moving. The post it is still taped the the computer where I work because everyone loved it.

A little doodle I'd love to make stickers of at some point. It's so cute, and who doesn't like a good pun?

A few of the many pictures I took at the Evanescence concert I went to in November. I was in the standing room area, which was a strangely intimate space(The Paramount in Huntington), despite how big the theater despite how many people were there. My friend and I were closer to the back area so my pictures aren't as good as others probably were but oh well. Amy was such a force on the stage, moving back and forth with so much energy, that it was hard to get a good picture of her, but she and the band moved as one, which was amazing to see. Jen Majora gave me chills looking as bamf as she did jamming with the boys and singing backup. I'll probably post videos from the concert here later or on my other blog, if these get enough likes. I never thought I'd live to see them play live. It was indescribably amazing. -Elle D

Some pics from my first protest. I made some of the pics black and white, as suggested by a photography mentor. I was initially unsure of using black & white, knowing how much it can be over used in the photography world, but I think he was right to suggest it for these pics. Particularly in the bottom left pic, where the shadows of the people standing frames the children's chalk words. My favorite picture is the first one, for the emotion and image behind the picture, though I got a lot of love for my homies sending Trump a message de los gente.

The first of many, papier-mâché jellyfish I intend to make. I'm hoping to make each one different, based off the diversity of real jellyfish. To be continued next year! -Elle D

A new flag for those in this country who support oppression, xenophobia, queerphobia, racism and any other form of hate. I call it "Flag of Amerikkka" and I hope to re-do it to greater effect at some point. -Elle D

Political Cartoon I drew at work. I did blank and use the soviet flag rather than the actual Russian flag, but maybe it's more fitting like this?
