lmao i havent been on here in forever but i have no one to tell that i ordered a pizza and lava cakes that... didnt arrive. Called and informed the store, the manager gave me some serious attitude n suggested that bc i selected "leave at door" someone mustve swiped it.

Homie, i been sitting 4 ft from the door with the blinds and window open, if somebody so much as breathed at my door i'd hear it. This place is cardboarddd.

He grudgingly said they'd resend it... didnt arrive. Got a desperate voicemail from the driver (half my verizon phonecalls just dont come thru?? Seems to be a wifi call issue) and it turned out that, as i suspected, he had delivered to the OTHER (worse) Pinnacle apartments literally across the street. Who opens up a 2nd motel fixer-up --> apartment and names it the SAME THING. (And makes it objectively worse than the 1st. We got casual sims players who would do an infinitely better job with the space.) Anyway....

I ~eventually~ got my original order plus the duplicate one so now my freezer is full of deliciousness I will have to ration over the next hundred months bc i have diabetes and shouldnt be eating any of this anyway.

Poor non-native english driver. He was super cool abt it, professionally apologetic and polite, and I tipped him $5 extra bc he was running around missing out on other easier tips trying to figure out wtf was going on. Yeah it was his mistake but if the manager was being kinda a dick to me i assume he's going to be way worse to the driver. It was all i had in cash.

after volunteering at a harm reduction agency for a couple months i can confidently say that addicts and homeless people (and homeless addicts) are not the boogeymen people make them out to be. they all just want coffee and candy. there's all this fear mongering and meanwhile your local addict is just some guy drinking a double double with slightly smaller pupils than normal.

and before you bring up a bad thing an addict has done, please remember that sober people have also done bad shit and that the majority of addicts are totally safe to be around. if you want to talk about how scary addicts are, i will talk about all the customers i had at my old job who made me fear for my life. stop fear mongering and start actually meeting addicts. yes, they can be scary, but so can anybody. fear mongering about addicts only leads to discriminatory policies and policing, which increases violence against them and worsens the problem.

the scariest thing about addiction isn't the addicts. it's the blood on the hands of politicians.

In 9 days ive seen 1-3 people on fentanyl on my 4 bus commutes back and forth, every single day. This shit is so scary. I wish I could do something material.
