I am so happy to hear that!

If you have an idea strong enough to inspire you to write (which it sounds like you do!) then half of the battle is already won. The next part is to sit down and actually write it. There is not set process (outlines, drafts, editing-- none of that matters because every writer does it differently). The only thing I will recommend is don't worry about the language or the dialogue or anything aside from getting the story out. Later, you can go back and change the things you're not happy with.

Also, please, do NOT let your mind discourage you with thoughts of what an audience will say or think. "Nobody is going to read this", "What if this flops", "What will people think of it?". That's going to kill your inspiration. YOU are your number one audience. Give YOU want YOU want!

Finally, remember there is no deadline for this to be finished. It's not a must-do! In the past, I have killed my joy of writing by viewing it as a chore that I had to sit down and complete by a certain time. Trust me on this, the best writing will come to you when you are well-rested, happy, and when you allow it to happen naturally. Don't force it. If it's not happening on the day you hoped to finish it by, that's okay. You're not "behind", I promise. Close the doc and do something you enjoy doing. The writing will be there, waiting for you for when you're ready.

Okay, sorry, this might be shit advice but it's some of the things that always helped me when I wanted to get writing again! Hope it helps you :)

Moonlight glistened on her bare skin. They lay together in the tender calm of his apartment, the harness discarded on the floor and the storm that had been raging inside him quelled.

Ethan ran his thumb over her navel, intoxicated by the softness of her breath as she broke the stillness.

Her heart threatens to overspill from her chest, beating erratically as she places her trembling hands atop the lectern. Lilac’s eyes fall to her own pale fingers and time seems to still.

All thoughts drift back to him.

To the way her hands traveled his body. To warm limbs tangled in sheets and in one another, longing never to part. To how her troubled and terrified heart found comfort in him only a few nights ago, feeling safe for the first time in weeks.

they break apart to a mix of cheers and shouted questions, flashbulbs exploding in her field of vision. despite the chaos surrounding them, kennedy only has eyes for blaine and his soft smile, which she returns with a gleeful little laugh as security sweeps in to push back the hoard of press, putting some space between them on the lawn.

“i’ll go notify cassandra about that press release,” her mom says tactfully, turning to head back inside the ballroom. “congratulations, you two. and thank you again, blaine.”

It was a rare sight, two doctors walking home from work at noon. Their hands were full. Literally. After leaving the hospital, they stopped by the store to get everything they’d need for the next two days and they got a little too excited on their shopping spree. Two bags of food, swinging slightly from Ethan’s right hand, and a bottle of expensive wine, held tightly in Claire’s left. Fingers of their unoccupied hands were tangled loosely, and they walked closely together, not wanting to take up too much space on the sidewalk.

The Detective shuts her eyes and takes in a long, steadying breath, silently sending a prayer to every deity imaginable, imploring for serenity and patience. Those prayers are not answered because he is still standing there when she opens them.

“What could you possibly want from me now, Bobby?”

Bobby’s razor sharp smirk grows wider, the malice making him resemble a gremlin. “Is this how you greet an old friend, Angel?”

Her skin crawls at the old pet name.

The Hunt

“On your marks,” Lahela says, eyes glued to the countdown on his phone. “Get set…” 

With more flair that necessary, he waves a makeshift flag frantically before its time, before dropping it and scooping one of his twin daughters into his arms. 

“GO!” he laughs, running straight for a nearby bush. 

“Cheater!” 

Chaos erupts in the form of excited shouts, giggles, and bodies darting every direction around the Ramsey backyard.

A/N: The dress in the chapter wasn’t tragic in my opinion but it’s not stellar either - so I went ahead and changed it. 

The entire Diagnostic Team let out a collective sigh of relief when Leland Bloom turned around on his heel and walked away. After a whole evening of schmoozing and rubbing elbows with wealthy morons, all Ethan wanted to do was go home. And take Claire with him, if he had any say in it.

Tobias finished a phone call, turning towards the group. “I think we can call the evening a success.” Harper nodded, slipping her arms into her coat. “Let’s hope this sedates him for a while.”

Isabel swirls the ice in her drink, forcing herself to maintain a steady pace with her alcohol consumption. No matter how tedious the event, she had work bright and early the following morning. Getting up at five in the morning was bad enough but getting up at five hungover… Isabel winces and abandons her glass on a nearby table.

Next to her, Andrea stops mid sentence with a dramatic gasp. She clutches Eliza’s arm in a vice-like grip. 

“Isn’t that… Is that famous Dr. Ramsey?” she whispers in a would-be inconspicuous voice. It’s still fairly loud and carries easily over the hum of conversation. 

Ethan and MC fly home together after Miami. Ethan’s POV.

Set in OH1 ch 10.

blaine’s eyes glint, the low light from the speakeasy highlighting the shadows on his face. there’s something like danger in his gaze when he arches his eyebrows at her and says, “i’m officially ready to take this somewhere more private.”

kennedy realizes all at once that, while no one is exactly looking at them, they’re still mostly out in the open, kissing and touching where just about anyone in the club might be able to see. she feels her face grow hot as blaine’s hand rests warm on her knee, his thumb stroking along her skin before he squeezes her in question.
