hello! this is where I'll be reblogging all the art people do for oc-tober 2023! so this might just be the place where you discover your new favourite artist!!
I got too excited so you can have this year's oc-tober art prompts!
IMPORTANT! It has been brought to my attention that this years mistake is me writing the word ritual twice, once on the 2nd and once on the 23rd, so to combat this, please use the first ritual as something the oc does on a daily basis and the second one as an actual ritual, I deeply apologise for any confusion this may cause đ
Please tag me in your art so I can reblog it without having to rely on tumblr's horrific search engine
Anyway! Please don't overexert yourself and remember to have fun!

Hii, no pressure or anything just wondering of you will do OCtober this year too? I loved participating last two years but I do get it being a lot of work...
Hiii no I don't think I will, I'm honestly way too embarrassed after the mess that was last year, I ended up having a major breakdown due to the war that erupted where I live and just stopped reblogging or interacting with posts and I'm just too ashamed to try again this year
But! If anyone is willing to pick up the mantle for an oc-tober 2024 I'd be very happy and cheering you on! You don't need to credit me or anything!
if my doing this challenge extends outside october (im goin slow with it and pretending its not just an october thing), can i still ping you for it?
Hii sorry for the late response, I've been struggling with mental health issues which is why I haven't been reblogging art at all, I will get back to it eventually, and yes of course @ me! I would still reblog and share your art even months after october so dw about it my friend ^^ take your time and enjoy your art
Today's prompts are "hot chocolate" and "charm." Really, what good is being a Circle of Wildfire druid if you can't use your powers to keep your partner's drinks warm? I'm not sure how well it reads that this is what's HAPPENING in the sketch, but alas color will have to wait for another day, lol.

Two NPCs from my current campaign I'm running, Anahera and Laelia. Their relationship that never came to fruition because Anahera would never be able to let go of her one true love: a thirst for power, and she would take Laelia down with her.
âHey, uh, darlinâ?â Bonesâs voice drifted across the courtyard, a strong note of unease leeching plainly from his throat.
The Lady looked up, her fingers laced between the pages of her book so as to keep place of her progress. âYes?â
He was standing on the far side, the corner of the garden where she tucked away species of personal interest. Plants that were hard to get ahold of, but proved infinitely valuable in terms of her research, development, or actual treatments for patients. Of course, the variety of plants was unorthodox, and should an official of the Church or perhaps even any official from any other government came to see, there would certainly be some eyebrows raised. Fortunately, none would ever enter here, so the thought was dashed from her mind. It was replaced with a notion of the source of his concern. Nettlebane.
âDoll-â
âIf it bothers you, step away from it.â She returned to her text, turning the page swiftly. âItâs not for you.â
âYâknow that stuff is-â
âPoisonous, yes. The antithesis to mages and their magic.â Her eyes slid up to meet his, a slight sense of annoyance plastered over her face. âBones, youâre something of an herbalist, yes?â
He grunted in response. âPotions. But yes.â
âThen surely you must know what medicine is?â
He took a few steps back, finally turning towards her. âWhat I make ainât nowhere near close.â
âPerhaps not technically, but the function remains.â Marking her spot, she put the book down on the table before her, gesturing for him to take the seat next to her. He obliged slowly, an unreadable expression marking his face. She continued slowly. âWhat more is medicine than a venom that kills your ailment faster than it kills you?â
He frowned at that, but struggled to come up with a compelling argument to counter. âSerena.â
The Lady reached across, her cold fingers wrapping around his hand delicately. âYes?â
âYouâre terrifying.â
âIâve been told that.â She raised a brow, noting his unease was stronger than his usual affection. âYou donât know if youâre allergic or not.â
A statement, not a question. ââŚI donât.â
âThen Iâll be sure to keep it away from you.â She kissed his cheek. Somehow, it didnât comfort him much.

Emperor Upright:Â Authority, establishment, structure, a father figure
Emperor Reversed:Â Domination, excessive control, lack of discipline, inflexibility
Woo, symbolism!~
Chika is the daughter of a local wealthy investor and her father is bit... forceful shall we say... especially during disagreements. Maybe that's why Chika tries to avoid conflict at any cost even to her detriment.
Here's Connor, a deer man who have super ability immune from any poison. So if you tried to kill him with poison, it will not working. He secretly a super hero.. Plus, he's one of characters in my original story, Super teacher.

Raiyaâs dad wasnât home much, especially since she got old enough to be alone without burning the whole place down, but that was fine with her. She loved him and knew that he had to work pretty hard for both of them - he would never say it out loud, but she was pretty sure that he missed his life before her mom dropped a baby into his life and herself clean out of it twelve years ago. So she didnât even mention it when he stayed out particularly late at the bar sometimes, listening from her own room for his familiar footsteps to come tromping through the door. Besides, when he was at work, she could use his tools at home.Â
Her dad didnât have any toys for her when she first arrived, but he worked with tools for his job, so heâd made all her blocks and little wooden people out of scraps from his odd jobs around White Lake, and it wasnât long before Raiya started putting things together too. It made her dad smile to see her working with wood and metal like him, but also nervous. She was very good at building and had started putting together little clockwork creations, and these were things that sometimes drew attention from the Pure. Ever since the use of numenera, those strange, beyond-ancient technologies left scattered throughout the world, poisoned the water supply before she was born, the city came together to regulate it, numenera and the water, led by a council and guard force. The Pure.Â
As far as numenera was concerned, âregulatedâ meant outright banned, with possession being punishable with anything from jail time to lower allowances from the regulated water.Â
Obviously, what Raiya was doing wasnât anything close to the mysterious workings of numenera, though she did think it would be pretty cool to find some - she heard that every piece ever discovered was different. That kind of thinking, even if she didnât say it out loud, was probably why the Pure paid attention. And why her dad got nervous. But there was just no chance of that ever happening, not here, and the idea of leaving White Lake never even occurred to her. Like most of the residents of this dusty town, she was here to stay.Â
~Five Years Later~
Raiyaâs legs carried her as fast as she could possibly go through the dark, narrow streets of White Lakeâs residential district. Her satchel thumped painfully against her back, keeping arrhythmic time with her heart while sirens shrieked from the water tower at the center of the city. They alleyways twisted and branched around each other and Raiya had to trust her familiarity to get her to Angelâs workshop because she couldnât bring out a light, because she couldnât be seen. This was hardly the first time sheâd snuck out past curfew, but this was far more important than teenage exploration and with suddenly vastly higher stakes.Â
Something went wrong. Angel was supposed to release the water supply to the town, sheâd made the devices he was using to get in herself, but the explosion she (everyone) heard was much, much bigger. Now, the night was coming alive with rumors and fear; she could only hope that the volume of guards sweeping the city meant that Angel wasnât caught.Â
Raiya was about to swerve to avoid a house whose lights had just turned on when hands lunged out from an alley, wrapping around Raiyaâs waist and mouth, smothering her scream.Â
âCome with me.âÂ
She stilled on instinct under the familiar voice, but before she could even take a breath, Angel was leading her by the hand further to the outskirts of the city with complete silence. They reached a nondescript shed among the many nondescript, dusty, often derelict structures of White Lake and he pushed Raiya inside first. Two walls were entirely lined with shelves with workbenches below - it was still too dark to make out the shapes on them. A small cot. A desk. Similar to the workshop she and Angel often met in. It made sense, she supposed, to have more than one. Only after the door closed did he release her hand and begin to speak. His voice came quickly but calm as ever while he paced the walls, grabbing things one after the other.
âSomething went wrong. The Pure somehow found out about our plan and planted their own explosive,â he said, pulling two already half-full bags down from a shelf.Â
Raiya shook her head, trying to keep up with the rapidly changing night.Â
âWhy would they do that?â Angel gave her a pointed look. She was often too loud.Â
âTheyâre going to blame it on me,â he continued, deliberately even quieter. Several smallish foil packets from another shelf. A pouch that jingled. She was too frazzled to piece together what exactly these items meant together. âOn us. Theyâre going to use this as an excuse to make their control even more absolute.â Raiya opened her mouth to protest again - They canât do that, that wasnât what happened! - but he didnât pause. âTheyâre already talking; no one will listen to us now even if we tried. Raiya,â He held one of the packs out to her. âDo you trust me.âÂ
âOf course.â
âWe have to leave.âÂ
They were facing each other directly for the first time. She looked from the bag to Angel. With his dark clothing and hair, only his pale face was visible through the darkness, serene and severe. The sirens, though quieter with the distance and walls between them, seemed even more pressing, like they were filling up the room and couldnât leave. He hadnât let her go, kept a hold on her shoulders and watched her reaction with a measured patience that made her suddenly feel the decade between them more poignantly than she ever had before, no longer a peer and ally, but just a young and stupid girl for not understanding what he meant.Â
âLeaveâŚâ she echoed weakly.
âLeave White Lake.â
The words spun. On some level, she knew the Pure and knew it made sense, butâŚshe lived here.
âBut- My dad!â She pulled away with new urgency. âHe-â
âYou canât involve him any more if you want to keep him safe.â He held her back easily to face him. âListen to me. This is the best chance we have for him to prove he knew nothing about this.â Every heartbeat felt like it was reverberating through her body; when she reached out to take the bag from Angel, her hands were shaking. Angel saw, of course. He let her go and sighed.Â
âRight,â He nodded and closed his eyes. Raiya suddenly felt cold. âIfâŚthis is too much, then you can stay. I certainly canât - wonât - make you leave. JustâŚtell them that I made you help me and it shouldnât be too bad for you. You're young enough still that they'll believe it..â
That shocked Raiya back into focus.Â
âWhat-? No! Of course not, I would never do that. Itâs not true,â she said stubbornly. Angel smiled.Â
âIf youâre sure, then take this, go west for about two days and then straight south until you reach Salton - the people tend to keep their own business, so you should be able to hide out there.â
âOh, butâŚI thought that weâŚâ Wasnât that what heâd said, âwe?â
âItâs too dangerous, at least right now. Theyâll be expecting us to be together, and it would attract more attention.â He sounded as clean as a script. âThe safest way to law low is to go alone: no contact. But you can handle this, youâre far too smart not.â He hefted his own heavy bag onto his back and tugged her closer for a briefest press of a hug and an unexpected, even briefer kiss on her forehead, wiping away her anxieties and protests.Â
âIâll contact you when itâs time,â he promised. âNow go. Be safe: this rebellion isnât over yet.â
Clarice time! Another character for my friend's cyberpunk campaign, and someone who would have been a player character if a certain person (me) didn't build Neil to be the most unkillable tank ever.
Clarice thinks she's a huge counter culture punk, being 17 years old and determined to stick it to the man, but in reality, she does her shopping at cyberpunk hot topic and wreaks minor havoc on the local mall. It's the thought that counts, though. Probably.
