Blubber Lover

Every conversation I think about her gorging herself senseless, how many meals, snacks, and hours spent sitting over the years contributed to all that weight packing onto her body. If I got my hands on her it’d be nonstop filthy fattening. Every day after class grabbing her plate after plate at the dining hall for her while she tries to focus on homework. Rewarding her with a loaded ice cream cone for every assignment finished. At night I’d keep her in the twin bed that can barely support her massive body stuffing her with the most unhealthy fatty food, made only for taste and zero nutrition.

Make her freshman 15 pale in comparison to her senior 100. I’d keep her ‘thin’ enough to waddle across the stage for graduation. Let her huff and puff as friends, family, and strangers look on with concern at the almost 600 lb 22 year old labor across stage. Those heavy slow steps under the hot summer sun are some of the last she’ll ever have to worry about. After the pictures are taken and the heart full goodbyes are said, it’s time to take her home, trade her gown for a mumu, and get her in bed.
