Old Bridge Library Volunteer Jobs Available
The following jobs are available to teen volunteers. You must have already completed volunteer orientation in order to work a volunteer job. If you are interested in a job please call 732-721-5600 ext 5028 to sign up, or visit the library in person.
Display Helper: Assist with pulling books and filling in displays. Must be comfortable pulling books from shelves using library call numbers (such as Dewey decimals) Hours: 1 hour per week Day/Time: Thursdays, 7-8pm
Room Straightener: Straighten up the children’s and teen rooms so that they are in beautiful condition for the next day.
Hours: 1 per week
Day/Time: Fridays, 7:30-8:30pm
Back to School Program Helper: Assist children and librarians with a Pigeon back-to-school craft.
Hours: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Day/Time: Monday, August 19 from 6:45-8:15pm
Damaged Book Inspector: Look for damaged books on the shelves.
Skills Needed: Ability to bend and reach, decision making skills and attention to detail.
Hours: 1 per week
Day/Time: Volunteer’s choice.
Math Program Helper: Help with a fun and interactive 8 week kids math program (no special math skills required).
Hours: 1.5 hours per week
Day/Time: Fridays, 10:45am-12:15pm. Job runs June 28-August 16 (8 weeks)
Friday Night Program Helper: Assist librarians with various Friday Night programming (Sensory Playtimes, Storytimes, etc.)
Skills Needed: Must be comfortable working directly with children and interacting with them during the programs.
Hours: 3 per week
Day/Time: Fridays from 5:30-8:30pm

Day/Time: Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30pm

Day/Time: Sundays, 3:30-4:30pm
Teen Tech Buddies: You will be working with older adults to help them with technology related questions or issues.
Skills Needed: Comfort with a variety of tech devices and programs, patience, the ability to explain concepts.
Hours: 2 per week
Day/Time: Saturdays 11am-1pm
Second Saturday Volunteer: You will help set up/prep and give out refreshments for our monthly Second Saturday events. Takes place the second Saturday of every month, see events calendar for exact dates.
Hours: 2 per month
Day/Time: Second Saturday of every month, 2:30-4:30pm.
