Haha I am! I’m also now 11 years into BJJ and I’m a brown belt. I’m actually answering this at the gym.
I’m not as strong as I was when I was 20 - I herniated a lumbar disc on my 28th birthday. Back in my heavy tumblr days I was deadlifting 270. Now I’m even demoing not doing that anymore.
But with being a better grappler, better cardio, and better diet, I’m healthier and maybeee a bit more jacked. I’d say my upper body is stronger than it used to be back then!
