Obito definitely helped the Uchiha elders set up their fruit stalls, definitely was a big brother to loads of uchiha orphans… definitely was loved in his own way… this also makes his future actions sm more devastating (but I also have a bone to pick w kishi’s depiction of genocide n how blasé its treated on characters psyche)

I also think by depicting the Uchiha clan as elitists who don’t understand or care abt obito for actually “having feelings and being empathetic” it is just a subtle way to demonise the clan and use genocide apologia . Removing any sort of personal blame from obito (just like how it’s revealed he’s got some seal manipulating him… if ur gonna make him a villain go the whole way no!??)
