For a while now, the only purpose I can see in life is weight loss. A day is a waste if it does not involve a calorie deficit. I find myself wishing for the day to be over so the next day can roll around and I can calorie restrict. Despite my attempts to find something else to live for, I can't. Everything I do feels like a means to kill time. I live for the future when I will be thin, not the present. It is a real struggle to find things to look forward to in the here and now. Please respond if you can relate. Thank you.

I understand that you have a problem. I understand that you are dissatisfied with yourself. But please do not broadcast your severe diets and 'thinspirations' on the Internet, thus feeding into (no pun intended) the insecurities of others. Websites like myproana are a disgrace, and a complete lack of respect to the families of those who have died from an eating disorder. Seek help, but please, please stop with the 'thinspo' accounts on social media. They're shit. Thank you.
It irks me a little how so many internet vegans can't just stop at educating people on animal agriculture... They have to go further and declare war on oil, formal education, real jobs, steroids, alcohol, people who want children, the pill, jeans, handbags, non-cyclists etc etc. it's just perpetuating the stereotype of an angry vegan, and making the vegan lifestyle seem waaaay more restrictive than it needs to be.

Why I disagree with vegan social media stars dropping out of uni
I’m not a social media star, but I’d say my opinion is as valid as the next person’s. Here is why I feel sad and think it is a bad idea:
- social media stardom is not forever. people get tired of the same ‘what i eat in a day’ and workout videos over and over
- there is time for travel/vlogging during uni breaks
- it’s a good idea to get a degree in case you change your mind about being a digital nomad later on
- in australia government funding for university study may only be available until age 21
- university can be a life-shaping experience, whereas only social media work can give you a big head
- working in a job that benefits the world can have a greater impact than social media can
