the myth narrative doesn’t really fit, but in my mind the visuals do.. i saw an oil painted version of this myth at a museum when i was younger and it unsettled me deeply so i thought i’d try to transfer that shock here. how must gyro have felt when he saw johnny turn away? its incredible how readily he was able to move on afterwards, not blaming johnny for any sort of betrayal but trusting in him, and in fate, even still. they’re crazy.
