i'm huge on the punkiness of the idea of a truly free internet. i mean yeah i know that used to be kind of the idea but unfortunately now it's practically unheard of. i wouldn't want to make much more money than is necessary for it to run itself (i mean a little would be nice but i'd hate myself if i had enough to hoard)

but the problem is that it'd be hard to monetize for creators to join, and unfortunately that's kind of a huge incentive for creators to create. idk

i'm hoping that the fact that people won't really be able to make money off of it might keep cheap slop content that's made solely for profit off the site anyways

maybe it's cause i'm a tumblrite native since before instagram sucked me dry (i have since tried to quit) but i really *really* like how tumblr does it stuff. chronological dash, you curate your own experience via following/blocking tags that YOU have to look up YOURSELF. when things go viral, it's because people shared it naturally, there's no artificial inflation like in other apps. no addictive short-form content, no auto-scroll like instagram put up recently on reels.
