How can you build up Byler for the past FOUR seasons to the point where we ALL think it's a POSSIBILITY A MASSIVE POSSIBILITY. And then this season you just... What? Decided Will's love for mike was just a 'passing crush'? Are you FUCKING INSANE?! Will's coming out scene was so horribly written I feel sick, I got so excited that he'd come out to Joyce or hell, even MIKE. But he just... Came out to EVERYONE? That's wild, considering a lot of the people there just DON'T KNOW HIM LIKE THAT?! It really upset me, and obviously, I cannot speak for the queer community, but even as a straight person, that was HORRIFIC writing, it was so fucking bad, and you just expect people to be HAPPY with that? It was awful, if they don't tie it up in the finale I will be absolutely disgusted. You had such a good chance to represent millions of people and you still failed. It felt so rushed. It felt so unserious. So underwhelming. It's not even about byler at this point, it just felt incredibly out of character for will to come out infront of everyone (including murray and kali???) I don't think it was horrible and i'm very glad they did it, but i truly believe it would've meant more if he just came out to joyce or his close friends. Coming out is a big deal to do many queer people, Will was such a strong plot point this season, especially his sexuality and you failed to portray that well. I love you duffers, and I still have a bit of faith, but come on. You could've done better. Maybe after rewatches i'll like it better, i'm glad there was representation but it felt a bit out of character.
