There was one episode with a trans woman getting different gender-affirming operations, including breast implants. It showed the procedure, and (what I found so fascinating that it's stuck with me for decades), as soon as the doctor put the implant in, a censor blur popped up on the nipple.

And you just know there was a meeting between the TLC lawyers and the editors and producers of the show to discuss what the difference was between a "man nipple" (can be shown) and a "woman nipple" (no no must obscure, 'tis naughty). And they decided that as soon as the implant goes in and the nipple has more mass behind it, that's the moment when it becomes a woman's nipple and must be hidden to comply with TV rules.

But it's the same nipple. On the same person. I know what it looks like; I just saw it. But TV and obscenity rules are rules, and the rules say woman nipple = sexual and therefore explicit, but man nipple = neutral, just fine.

This scene is actually inspired by something I witnessed as a kid, when my family was driving on a small road amidst sugarcane fields, heading to a day’s fun at a lake resort. Three young men emerged from one of the fields, wearing t-shirts and absolutely nothing else, but obviously not expecting a car full of people to drive past at that exact moment. We honked and hollered at them, and they grinned and waved us away, and my early teenage self gained a memory that would make my late-thirties self go “Hey, WAAAAIT A MINUTE!”

Anyway, the next time I get some silly idea like “draw a stand of tall reeds”, someone please show up and dope-slap me. This drawing took two months, only one week of which actually was spent on the characters, and one hour on choosing one of my vacation photos for that hill in the background. Dammit, this just made me emit angry seagull noises.

Ugh, this drawing was supposed to be done one week ago.

Back in 2019, I browsed some photos I’d taken while on vacation the year before, and noticed a rather nice-looking young man appearing in several of them. Not one to waste eye candy, I redrew one of the photos into a new character.

Much later, I decided on a whim that the day I first posted that first drawing was Onja’s twentieth birthday.

So, this year, April 2, 2025 was Onja’s twenty-sixth birthday.

This is his gift to his husband for the occasion, but hey, y’all get to have it too!

Surprisingly enough, I drew his pose without any reference.

The background is a photo I took personally — coincidentally, on Onja’s 24th birthday.

Also: I forgot to draw it, but pretend that he’s proudly wearing his wedding ring.

Ugh, this drawing was supposed to be done yesterday. Similarly to Onja, I decided that Mijoro’s first public appearance in my art was his twentieth birthday. So this year, on November 11, 2025, he turned twenty-seven. Meaning that y’all get a pinup picture of him to match his husband’s. As with the earlier drawing featuring Onja, the background here is a photo I personally took several years ago. In this case, my birthday in 2018.

A lovely commission done for @nyaaapolitan who wanted some toe claws, or as I called them throughout the whole process, "The big ol grippers". I think this is the most generous amount of time I've stared at toes in the last 2 weeks to be honest. Didn't think I'd need these until I started testing them around and going 'wait... the cryptid possibilities...'
