sooo i have this very specific headcanon that stiles was actually made for nogi. like he’s meant to be his vessel because have you seen how perfect those two go together. everything that happened, claudia’s death, stiles’ belief in the supernatural as well as stiles’ introduction into the supernatural, his role as the schemer in the pack, the sacrifice —- it has all built up to prepare stiles as a vessel.

i think so because victims of fox possession, according to lore and stories, often end up having gone insane. that wasn’t the case with stiles. sure, he said ‘i’m straight up losing my mind’ and he definitely was on the edge of it, but he overcame it. when he lost the ability to read, he overcame it. when nogi made him think that suicide was the only way to save his friends, stiles fucking overcame it. even in season 4, stiles was exceptionally good (he said it himself, ‘better’). because he is destined for it. compare rhys!nogi with stiles!nogi and you’ll see what i mean. of course, rhys was a burnt dead body and all, which might be the reason for the difference in physical ability, but it doesn’t explain the difference in behavior. i actually separate rhys!nogi and stiles!nogi because they’re literally like two different entities.

and to push this even further, i like to think that no matter what they do, one way or another, nogi ends up in the vessel he’s been waiting for all his existence. i also believe in balance though. nogi strained this balance between chaos and order pretty bad, which is why i think he’s now kind of put on a leash.

what that means for stiles though, is that the possession left traces, and nogi is still able to affect him from the inside. stiles feels impulses in certain situations, but he keeps them to himself. he wants to believe it’s over, but he knows it’s not.

just imagine how useful it would be if stiles had a caged beast. i don’t doubt for a second he’d let him out if it meant to save his friends. and i’m pretty sure nogi wouldn’t mind ripping some hearts out and draining people’s life force ‘til they’re pale and dead.

of course it would also be his friends who tell him when it’s enough and bring him back.
