It isn’t.

I used to unconsciously think my value was dependent on who thought I was attractive or cool.

It isn’t.

I used to unconsciously think I couldn’t be myself and be fully loved by anyone.

Not true.

I used to unconsciously think if I wasn’t happy with my body then no one else would be either.

Not true.

I never allowed myself to receive love and that is why I never felt it. I never allowed myself to be myself and that was what brought me to depression. I take responsibility for my part of letting other people get in the way of me loving myself. I take responsibility for letting people in my life who treated me wrongly and for letting them treat me that way. But I was raised in a world where I learned these things to be truth, consciously or unconsciously. I learned these beliefs and so I forgive myself completely for years of neglecting myself.
