Things had been so…confusing, of late. They were all back together, or at least in the same area, and mostly not killing each other, even though Luther had to say, he still could tolerate Allison more than he could the others. Tolerate was definitely putting it mildly. This day had been so confusing, even in itself. His father..Reginald had never read his reports from the moon. He’d not cared. He didn’t know what he thought. But then Allison had cheered him up, even if he couldn’t fit in that room, all that well, anymore. Things were different now. But, he’d had..fun, especially after that, with her asking him to dance and all. He was being awkward in his own head, apparently now. They were still alone, although he didn’t know for long. Wasn’t she going to still leave on a plane?

“Do you think you’ll come back when you see Claire, with her even? I’m still not sure what anything means really..since I got back here.” 

Allison silently debated things over in her head. Part of her wanted, no, needed to get on the plane and fly back to Claire. There was no way she could justify not being with her as the world ends. 

However...

She didn’t feel it was right to leave. Not anymore. Seeing the Umbrella Academy again and working together to save the world had become a pressing issue, and in seeing Luther again, just brought up things that were suppressed a very long time ago.

“I don’t think any of us know anymore.” A sympathetic smile across her face, Allison placed her hand on his shoulder, giving him a gentle yet reassuring squeeze. She tossed the idea of flying again, but couldn’t shake the responsibility of being needed here. 

He looks at the food set on the plate for him, brows raising ever so slightly.

 “Aren’t we all, really?” he asks, watching how Mom put a plate of two eggs and a bacon smile in front of Allison. His eyes rose to meet his sister’s, as he wondered just- when it had been the last time they had sat down and had breakfast together. A decade ago, perhaps?

     Catching her own plate having the same smiling features, she glanced up at Diego, before her lips firmly closed and turned up at the corners, trying to avoid laughing, unsuccessfully.

At the end, when we see them all go back in time, I started thinking, this means Claire doesn’t exist anymore. Allison will have to wait YEARS before seeing her ex again, and even then, will she want to start things with him if she knows how it will turn out? Or will it be a second chance? Either way, she would do it with the hope of having Claire again. But anything being different in the timeline could ‘butterfly effect’ that. And we all know how many god damn sperm there are. What if she got pregnant with Patrick, only to find she’s having a boy? What if Patrick never got with her second time around? What if she forgot what day/time they met? What if she met someone prior to that?
