So I’ve been playing dungeons and dragons a lot with a group of boys. One of them is a guy who has repeatedly, throughout our friendship told me that he is interested in me romantically and I have said no because 1) I am not interested and 2) I am in a committed 4 year relationship with my boyfriend who he knows. So last night he told me this again, and once again I said I wasn’t interested and I said how selfish it was of him to put me in a situation where I am going to be uncomfortable doing something I love doing (DnD) he continued to tell me that he didn’t want anything in return he just wanted to “let me know” and proceeded to say that the rest of the people we play DnD with told him that he should tell me how he felt and also that they thought there was something going on between us and encouraged him. Apparently my efforts to put the past behind me and have friends that were boys were all for nothing, and regardless of my intentions men will always think that I exist purely for their sexual and romantic interests. He also sent me a pdf document breaking down every sentence of my text to him and he ended up saying that he doesn’t want to see me again after I had already told him the same thing. I guess in attempt to make it seem like it was his idea. So I had to leave behind the group and something that I love because of this selfish asshole and I’m really really upset.
