miscellaneous stuff i would do if i could direct a new ce:overdose adaptation with imaginary infinite budget/connections
- animated by otoiro + doga kobo + studio daisy
- female protagonist possibly named miyuki
- mainly animated style with some irl segments for flashbacks and the epilogue
- faces are never shown in flashbacks, only epilogue
- each musician gets one episode each + some lucid stuff and charaepis. overall slower and more chill pacing
- more direct adaptation of game's storyline
- one episode decicated to shogo's backstory in his perspective
- when thorn explains her perspective, you get a sequence of the story in asuka's perspective plus the aftermath of ichika's suicide
- asuka must try and fight shogo
- sweet-p has an oshi no ko moment when she realises she is trans ("oshi no ko moment" is the phrase i use when the animation style goes all watercolour-y and beautiful to convey a strong emotion. its hard to explain but there's a few of them in y'know. oshi no no.)
- the dreamy-cute girls from the ramen store are implied to be the flower princesses
- every time sweet-p gets misgendered you can visibly see her about to have a panic attack and everything goes darker and everything is spelled so obvious that This Is Hell For Her
- ayana's stork beating scenes are absolutely badass
- stork looks like a Legitimate Threat in the bathhouse but when he is defeated he just looks like a stupid bird
- the flower princesses are treated like actual humans for the entirety of the runtime
- they might look a little distorted in mifue's imagination since she's a like that
- the bathhouse water gotta look really drinkable
- they gotta put reasonable fish in mirei's aquarium
- every time ayana looks at a woman (ESPECIALLY miyuki) they need to be adorned with a halo of stars and hearts.
- it begins with a happy little sequence of mobius, possibly a "would you like to live in a world where there are no faults?", immediately interrupted by chaos and peter pan syndrome
- cut to the opening song
- in general aria and myu are gayer for each other
- in the end aria shoots myu while embracing her
- ending is despairful enough to get big booby aria but not too despairful

- miyuki visibly nervous when everyone's commenting on sweet-p being trans
- miyuki and shogo drink together
- musicians and ghc fight side-by-side against thorn
- musicians are introduced with dramatic-ass lighting
- when thorn jumps it often cuts back to reality with irl ichika
- ghc having fun in the amusement part before they have to fight kuchi and mirei. there should be funny bits like izuru winning carnival games effortlessly, mifue and kotaro going on the biggest rides and scaring the hell out of suzuna, and so on.
- suzuna accompanies mifue to the tea party instead of prez or naruko. idk i just want suzuna there.
- random other ymnk-verse cameos in the back. especially negahapi because they're funny like that.
- kensuke is writing music, zoom shot on him titling the song "peter pan syndrome"
- sweet-p is at the cafe with the flower princesses in a simple cutesy outfit and snapping pictures. mifue joins in.
- ayana cries while reading the letters her father gave her, tries to send one back
- stork gets arrested. he is clearly staring at the officer's boobs (but is trying not to)
- suzuna tries to talk to some of her classmates, they ignore her, she tries hiding in the bathroom again but runs into shonen-doll.
- kuchinashi is crying and showing the article of kouki's arrest to her parents.
- she visits stork in jail and says thank you in sign language
- mirei visits toshizo in a funerary home, leaves a valuable necklace at his ashes
- she's out on the street and she's crying and takkun's crying?? so she buys him a lollipop!! kotono is annoyed af
- ike-p tries to flirt with izuru but izuru doesn't get it.
- shadow knife is beating up thugs in the alleyway. kotaro is helping the victims
- wicked is in hospital. sakura visits her.
- naruko deletes gossiper and opens a word doc that she titles "The Caligula Effect"
- shogo and asuka visit ichika's grave together. shogo tries to talk to asuka. asuka walks away.
