Like you got Gold, the art teacher or home ed, Kyran teaches physics or computer science

Kai is the gym teacher because the only thing I remember him doing other than grieving Valerie was like hanging around in the gym

Yumi is the science teacher because why not or maybe the school nurse

Valerie, who was hired middle of the school year because Olivia or someone ‘quit’, is the idk English teacher (I heard there was this trope where gym teachers and english teachers get together more often)

Maybe Alex could be the computer science teacher instead Funneh and Gold think that’s why Kyran has beef with him because he beat him to the job

Funneh is sorta hard maybe drama or math teacher, or maybe she’s a janitor or lunch lady?

The main mean girl who’s name I always forget could be a nepo hire or maybe her dad disowned her some shit so she’s sorta chilling there as the mean librarian

This au could be really different from the series since they’ll be actual adults instead of teenagers like wow no wonder why Yumi’s Halloween party is so great, these guys haven’t gone to a party that wasn’t their aunt’s baby shower in years

Funneh and Gold trying to get into school and a reporter asked them why YHS hasn’t been temporarily closed down yet for all the murders and the duo just stares at them brains empty

Oh and the original staff members could be students, Funneh and Gold get called boomers by Mr Draco or better known as Jr Draco because for some reason that kid has it out for them this looks a better than Funneh and Gold bullying a kid

as for funneh and gold's roles, i think it'd be fun if we make funneh an IT guy to mix it up a bit.

i love a good ol teacher au, but you said its a "school member au" (which im assuming you mean school staff) so making funneh the IT guy is really fucking funny to me.

gold could be a substitute teacher every now and then, but she could likely be the social manager of the school—do not put this girl in home ec, she's gonna burn the damn school down 😭😭

i like the idea of kai being a gym teacher and valerie being an english teacher based on the trope you mentioned, but also consider: literature teacher kai and gym teacher valerie.

kyran and alec are always fun to think about, but personally I'd put kyran in forensics since he was actually a fan of that in season 1 iirc. i still think them beefing over wanting to be the computer science teacher would be funny, but generally speaking, there are usually multiple teachers of the same subjects dealing with different classes.

you could make them beef over who's the better computer science teacher though. just a poll on their facebook account "who's the better comp sci teacher?! alec or kyran?!" LMAOOO

if we're talking about the main 6 only, i agree (also in addition to rainbow and pinkie, they're both related to sweets!! rainbow is associated with cake and pinkie with cupcakes!)

i will say, outside of main 6, i see lunar more as starlight or zecora than twilight 🥹🫶 draco makes sense as spike but also just as a general dragon

as just ponies though, i feel like gold would be an earth pony, rainbow and funneh would be pegasi, and draco and lunar would be unicorns. i just hc gold as the strongest of them physically lmaoo
